I got 2 screencaps from my PVR (sorry for quality, highly zoomed from high-compression)

Looks like the same guy.  I wonder what was in the backpack I see him with.  In all the shots I have, the dude has the eyes-half-closed drunk look going on.  I bet some CFL fans somewhere across the league turns the guy in LOL.  Camo jacket?  Sounds like a Greenie to me!  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  You'd think OTT fans would be overjoyed they walked away from this mess with a T instead of a L.

The downside of all of this is the league might beef up security at games.  Which would be a good thing but I hope they don't overreact and ban fans on the field post-game.  That literally is the best part of the whole game night for my kids.

Maybe OTT needs to just do what WPG does and wait the 10-15 mins after 0:00 before letting fans down.  I have no idea why they were letting fans down the second they thought the game was over!?

Even the panel was all worked up postgame -- arguing over whether command should have made the crazy calls they did.  What a wild night.
Never go full Rider!

Quote from: TecnoGenius on August 09, 2024, 04:57:59 AMSSK getting just 1 season point for this game will massively help us.  Command desperately wanted to give this game to SSK.  I think everyone is trying hard to make sure it's not WPG in the GC, so every challenger to us has to have a leg up before we start winning everything.  (a bit tinfoil, but not too far off!)

A bit of tin foil, it's got to be a costco sized 10ft antenna lol

There is no bias in officiating, it's just consistently inconsistent for all teams

I was wondering as well!

And, the answer is no. We have Tyrique and they have Alijah.

LOL. I turned off the game when they sacked Crum and thought the game was over.

I'm not sure if a tie helps us or hurts us. A single point could end up being the deciding factor in either direction. That applies to a potential crossover as well.

Based on the current 9 games played , if we beat the Riders in both games, they'd still be ahead of us by that single point. Obviously either team may win or lose other games but if they had lost to the Redblack that would be one less point to make up in the standings.

I would have preferred a Rider loss but a tie is interesting. We'll see how it works out at the end of the regular season.

well, I just feel so unsatisfied with that game. Fun to watch, but a tie is just so, empty. LOL

This both teams on the same sideline needs to go away.

Very much so. That setup screams high school.

I didn't know the game ended in a tie until about 5 minutes ago. I also turned off the game after the Crum sack. The command center is not working. They get things wrong all the time. This makes the CFL look bad again. I wonder how many gamblers ripped up their tickets.

I think it's an issue with access to the locker rooms, a team never wants to be across the field from it's dressing room and equipment.

Its a space issue.  the CFL field is too wide, so they make one sideline larger than the other to accomodate.

As to how a tie makes a difference, I think like this.  Equal wins, they win.  Equal losses, we win.  That's the deciding factor.
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

Look at the teams Sask has played so far: Elks (W), Ticats (W), Ticats (W), Argos (W), Lions (L), Bombers (W), Als (L), Elks (L), RBs (T). Their wins have all come against the Elks (1-1), Ticats (2-0), Argos (1-0), and us (1-0). Record, 5-3-1. That has to be the softest start to a season imaginable. How lucky for them that Trevor Harris got injured when he did too.

The rest of their schedule is against Als, Argos, Us, Us, Stamps, RBs, Elks, BC, Stamps. So us twice, Stamps twice, BC, Als, and Argos. I can seriously see them not winning another game this season.

I wonder what would our record be if we had played the Elks twice and the Ticats twice to start the season.
Go Bombers!

Actually I believe it's a money issue. In Toronto, Ottawa, and BC the sideline that doesn't have the benches has "premium seating" instead. Guess they don't want to have to look over all the team personnel after paying all that money.

I also hate ties and would have preferred the mini-games continue until the responding team isn't able to maintain the score.

Officiating was complete mess last night and so had the game continued after the weirdo calls, another series could have awarded one team with 2 points and if without controversy, would have made the outcome more palatable.
