2 games, $134,408.60 fine. Myers probably gets 2 or 3 games also.

$134k?  Hefty fine.  That's 16 games pay for a player on an ELC...
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

Quote from: Pigskin on January 20, 2025, 03:07:41 PMHow many game will McDavid get for the cross check to face of Garland. McDavid 6'1" 200, Garland 5'7", 170. And, you have to cross check him in the face. If your that pissed off drop the gloves.
I hear what you're saying, but your franchise player should never have to drop his gloves to address this type of situation--thats why you have third and fourth line players!! Given the opportunity I am sure someone would have taken things up with Harland. But the league got it right, 2 game suspension, whether you're a superstar or not, you can't be cross checking people in the face. I am sure someone will take matters up with Harland next time they play, I know I would.

@NHLPlayerSafety
Edmonton's Connor McDavid has been suspended for three games for cross-checking Vancouver's Conor Garland.

@NHLPlayerSafety
Vancouver's Tyler Myers has been suspended for three games for cross-checking Edmonton's Evan Bouchard.

Just checked and Garland is listed as 5'-10" 165 lbs. averaging 19:28 TOI
Imagine having to send a fourth line plug averaging 7:00 TOI to take care of this 165 lb. menace because McDavid can't do it himself. McDonalds should change his signature dish from the Big Mac-David to the small fries after this debacle!

Pigskin

Oiler's crying there drawing enough penalty calls. Watching McDavid cry is always a highlight.

Necas for Rantanen. Sounds like Taylor Hall and Kotkaniemi are also involved in this trade. More info coming.

My oh my, this trade might be termed a block buster

Adjustment time for McKinnon without his man
Really happy for Hall getting moved to the Canes

In the end, Drury and Necas to the Ava's. Rantanen and Hall to the Canes. Chicago gets a 3rd. round pick from the Canes, and will retain 50% of Rantanen's salary which is $9.5M.
