Do you think we made a mistake at DC

Hard to say. This is a totally different group of players, and we have had so many injuries to starters. Richie is still around whispering in Youngers ear, so I don't think much has changed there. Need to find a DB and DE, and get some of our starters healthy.

Richie Hall is a great coach and a gentleman.  He will not interfeer with the DC but will give suggestion if Asked.  I think Younger wants to be his own man.

I think a new system is hard enough to implement even with vets.  Even harder when we're hit by injuries and starting green rookies all over the field.
Even Hall's D would be taking a hit right now

What we need to do is just simplify things as much as possible.

way to many injuries to make a judgement on the  coaching staff

No injuries to start week 1 though, except Parker.  And being down 1 good player shouldn't kill a team.

So how did we look in game one before they started dropping like flies?  Run D very good, but still getting torched on the deep ball -- by Cody no less!!  Still giving up the hitch screens and wide outs.

So ya, we can starter making judgements on the coaching staff just based on week 1.  I'd give them a C in game 1, B in game 2, and D in game 3.

And I'm still not convinced being field-level is the best place for a DC... unless it's really Hall still up in the booth calling most of the shots...

How about Parker, Lawson, and Bighill.

I said Parker.  Shoot, ya forgot Lawson.  Still, being down 2 D players (on different units) you should still be able to hold it together.  Biggie coming back in week 2 makes him a wash.  Our LB play actually looked very good in week 1.

And what pray tell is your wisdom to say such a thing? Don't just criticize, let's hear some solutions or else SHUT UP! ;)

If he was smart, he'd be consulting with RH on why there's so many bad coverages, unless he wants to be his own man in the unemployment line!!

Road Griller is no longer with us. So, he will not be answering your question.

The Head Coach is the problem?? That is truly laughable. The guy is the winngest coach of all time and he's the problem. Bahahaha.

Talent is the problem. It's goes in cycles, some years you have too much of it and you lose guys to FA like we just did and you're trying to restock the shelves and then get hit with the injury bug, double whammy. It's just the way it is. Nobody's fault really it's just the talent cycle in motion. Teams are lucky if they go through the cycle, some just linger at the bottom for like ever— hows it's going Edmonton??

Hall was down on the field today. He was much more involved than in the pass. Hall and Younger with some new D formations, and I think that's all I can say on the board. Saturday could be interesting in Calgary.

Pretty sure we're set and stuck with Younger as DC for many years to come.  So we all better be optimistic and supportive!  There is zero coach cap leftover for any outside DC.  Younger probably is/was a "steal" compared to most other established DCs.  (Guys promoted from the ranks like him excluded.)

I have faith in him.  At least he seems to really care and gets fired up down on the sidelines.

My guess for a while now is they are co-DCs and the whole changing of titles was (ehem) Smoke And Mirrors(TM).

I'm perfectly fine with that as it's the best of both worlds.
