I hope for the best, but IMO BC looks to be the better the team. I would imagine we fair much better than Sask. but BC's front 7 is just too good, they simply take over and control the line and ultimately the game.

Lions defence might be the best in the CFL but their offence with Adams or Evans is not top 2 IMO. Their defence wears down their opponent and wins TOP.

Can they do that against the Bombers? Yes I know they did that in the other game but that was before we added Lawler.

It's certainly going to be a statement game and they will be tough. The team that wins the LOS will probably win the game.

Bombers will be coming off the bye and Lions will be on a very short week on the road.

Lions D is the best in the league. We won?t be able to run against their front 7 and their D line will eat our O line giving ZC very little time to make plays. Yes, we ll have Lawler but we won?t have time for the big strike. We lose this one at home

It's up to the offence to put points on the board, they can't come out and lay an egg like they did in the first matchup, the burden is on Zach's shoulders to put them in position to score points.  In the old days we could rely on Medlock to win epic battles by scoring 4 or 5 FG's, no reason Castillo can't do the same if put within range.  Also with the receivers they have now, no reason for Brady to slip out of the backfield all of the time, stand back there and protect Zach when not running the ball.

We will see what adjustments Buck makes. Argo ran on BC's D for over 100 yards. OL will have to play much better then they in the 1st. game. Having JJ94 in the lineup will help our D. Wilson and Rose, would both be a plus for our D.

It's the same defence we beat in 2022.

one thing I saw Toronto do was disguise the safety by switching him in game, it really seemed to confuse adams . When we played bc they seemed to take their reads off of Bighill and Alexander...if Alexander moved up they went down the center deep , with bighill they'd go shallow over the center It worked because sometimes Hall gets predicatable with his bltiz defence. |we likely have to disguise it a little better

The Zipp

From Derek Taylor:

No Dalton Schoen as the Bombers return to practice after the bye week.
Geoff Gray is back with the starting OL.

Looks like Kyrie Wilson is back with the 1st team D. And Winston Rose takes over for Abu Daramy-Swaray

The halfbacks are rotating through today: Nichols, Parker and Holm are moving through the two spots.

I didn't expect DS83 to practice this early in the week. He probably needs all the rest he can get. But, I think he will play on Thursday night.

Still wanting to know who is at SAM? Getting Wilson and Rose back is great. Not worried yet that Schoen isn't practising.

Anything new on other players on 6 game IR starting to practice?

This has all the makings of a trap game...

Lol..

This will be a nice rematch, BC down a QB and maybe some other keys, and we're getting healthy...

You can bet the D will be very snarly going after Evans...
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

Richly Hall and our D has had good success against Evans so it will be interesting if our D can shut him down again. I am not confident our O line can give Collaros time to make plays

Ya, but we re missing key o linemen and Collaros will get eaten alive again. Bring back Desjarlais and we have a chance, without him we lose, it?s as simple as that

Drew Desjarlais was in the NFL during 2022. We lost Couture this off season but our OL is nearly intact and has played together all season.

The Lions lost Rourke and we beat them with Rouke in 2022. That's a more significant loss for them than the Bombers losing Couture on offence.

IMO it's more a question of whether our defence can keep the Lions off the field with 2 starters returning in Wilson and Rose.

Exactly I think dd is thinking of Couture. Desjarlais has been gone 2 whole years now!

The concern is if the OL and scheme employed can give Zach some time and get Brady going. Brady is over due for a more impactful game. Last one for him was Calgary at home a few weeks ago.

WPG didn't take BC seriously the first game.  We just thought we could mosey into IGF and mail in the win.  Coaching was bad.  Preparation was bad.  In-game adjustments were bad.  Halftime adjustments non-existent.  Plan B's AWOL.  It was a pathetic show of insouciance.

One thing I've learned about MOS/Buck/Hall is they won't make the same mistake twice.  I would expect a massive opening of the playbook for this game.  I fully expect to be dazzled by the strategy, tactics and execution.

Having more of our "normal" D back healthy will really help: no more free 7 yards in front of Swarm.  No more wide open weakside run plays on our D.  If Schoen still slots in our O will be best in league.  Grant will be the only missing piece on O/ST, so it'll be up to whoever is returner to just hang onto the ball and run straight forward.
Never go full Rider!
