Montreal is under a rainfall warning effective Thursday morning to Friday afternoon. 40-60mm of rain. That field is going to be saturated.

We got a horse that can run in the slop.

Quote from: Pigskin on October 29, 2025, 02:57:26 PMI think you nailed it. This is not a good team. But, maybe with some excellent D, a couple of breaks on teams, and no turnover by our O. We can pull out a win.
We are an average to good team imo.  Agree rest.  We can win without one or two turnovers if we force the same.

I think that's a cool accomplishment as a fan. To me, the league should acknowledge this fan support and at the last game, they should have presented something to him at half time to show folks there are fans that really go out of their way to watch CFL football.

TSN made a fuss about the fan that went to a game in every stadium in one week. Something like that. They covered it in detail. Last season maybe?

All CFL cities in 1 season is a bucket lister for me.

How about all CFL cities in 1 season DRIVING...  ;)  I'd like to try that, but that's a kids-grown-up dream.

For now I'll stick to trying to get to a Bomber game in every city in a decade.  After this trip I'll just be short EDM, OTT, TOR.
Never go full Johnston!

montreal could be regretting playing some of their starters last week. big losses if those two can't play.

Quote from: gobombersgo on October 29, 2025, 04:57:58 PMI'd like to do 4 games in one weekend.

That would be very tough.  It would have to be one of the rarer spread-over-3-days weeks... and the double-header would have to be TOR/HAM as that's the only drive that's short enough.

Don't think there are ever any spread-over-4-days weeks?

I hope we plan for proper footwear then!  Bring every type of cleat we have.

What was that game earlier this season where our players were slipping non-stop and the other team not so much (@HAM?)?  That was baaaaad.  Don't repeat that.  MTL knows their turf and will have the footwear nailed.

Check this year's schedule. There were 4 weeks in June /July where they had games on Thurs-Fri-Sat-Sun.

Ideally they could have games in Montrea, Ottawa (where you can take the train from Montreal) then 2 out west.

The games this year seem to go back and forward between the West and East.

Cool!  Although could be a bit tricky with Canada's "not many flights after 10pm" thing.  Might have to catch a few zzz's in the prev city then hit a 5am flight to get ready for the next one.  Should be doable if the games are all evening ones.

Conceivably if 2-3 consecutive ones were in the HAM/TOR/OTT/MTL triangle you could just drive/train -- maybe getting away with just 1 flight to the West?

For anyone who may be going, the alouettes ticket site does allow resale tickets and they DO allow sales below face value.  I just snagged some super great tickets well below face.  The seats are virtually guaranteed to get on TV... if I can convince my son not to look like someone just killed his dog.

Many of the non-resale tickets are disappearing, but there are quite a few resale ones popping up.  I think some of the timid are looking at the forecast and saying "sacre bleu!".

Only Streveler, Demski and Mitchell were the only DNP today.

It's not looking good for Demski to be able to play. If he does there is no certainty that the hamstring prevents him from being effective or surviving the game :(
One game at a time.
