Quote from: markf on May 19, 2025, 02:52:30 PMIt will be streamed on CFL+

If you have a good vpn set to USA should allow you to stream it.

But Yeah they do not make it easy.

You do not need a VPN to watch the pre-season games on CFL+ (except for the ones TSN are showing on TV). They region lock it during the season so that TSN gets the Canadian viewership but since they're not showing most of the pre-season games you just need to go to the CFL+ page and enter an email and you can watch for free without doing anything else.

Too bad we can't get these televised.
Wow, I consider myself a pretty decent football fan, and have been watching the NHL playoffs, but I have never heard a peep about CFL preseason in any sports telecast. Why is this??

Quote from: markf on May 19, 2025, 02:18:16 PMGame today.....Calgary at B.C. May 19th 1 p.m. Pacific standard time.

Game played in Victoria, sold out in ten minutes.

Maybe the ongoing boycott will boost CFL a bit.

Three of us going to this game today. Wearing our Bombers gear! Will say hi (loudly) to Buck :)

Nope, thought they started next weekend.

I wonder... if we had tons of success with Wallace and/or the 2 sophomore IMP OL and/or the new DPs and/or the new IMP rookies... could we use Eli for trade-bait to SSK?  Do we have anyone else in reserve that can play C?

Riders have lots of CDN OL depth.  All good

No VPN required today.  Doesn't appear to be any sound either.

Great to see a football game! Stamps looked better than the Lions, commentary and and video was fine, they even had replays. Not a lot of background provided on any players so hard to tell from listening if any new draft picks played.

Plenty of tiny jitterbugs playing receiver and returner on both sides, watch for Stamps, Horton, Vaughn and Ludovick Choquette to make their mark in the CFL as returners if nothing else. Jackson for the Lions looks to be the next Smoke Mizzel!  Don't know why the Bombers fail finding exciting returners off the shelf, could be they put more weight on their effectiveness as receivers and being tiny doesn't help when blocking is required.

Stamps new QB PJ Walker looks to be an accurate passer who gets the ball out fast, he might have a promising future in the league down the road if he picks up the game from VA. Backup Logan Bonner looked in control, not very mobile but he is decisive and can fire the ball accurately.

Masoli played a the first Q for the Lions, didn't do much but it looks like he's full recovered, plays the same style of game as Zach but with less vigour.  Chase Brice last year's 3rd string QB looked inept and dreadful.

Ex Bomber and Ti-Cat Cedric Wilcots competing for a job on the Stamps D-line, made a few big plays including a sack.

Yes, some quite small receivers.

I thought bc running back horvath looked effective.

I had a feeling it was coming up soon, like today or tomorrow.  Forgot about it today though and had to do yard work anyway.

Does anyone know if these things are replayable later?  I'm really bummed I missed it.  CFL+ doesn't seem to let you rewatch.

You want to reach the youth market yet you force people to only watch live?  Kids don't do live.  Lame.  There's no rights/ad issues with these PS so why don't they let you watch later??
Never go full Rider!

Uh, so it's baseball?  QB can just sit back there taking his sweet diddly?

Weird.

Not quite.

The official who normally monitors the 20 second clock instead counts down the 20 seconds. At 10 seconds he raises both arms above his head with 10 fingers extended. At 5 seconds he drops one arm. This is the same procedure that existed before the 20 second clock.

This was explained by the supervisor of officials on the ferry ride to Vancouver Island.
