Quote from: Tecno on November 07, 2026, 10:09:40 PMWe 100% had MTL on the ropes.  100% could have won.  Just like ESF last year until Brady fumbled.  This year it was Zach who fumbled late.

Shouldn't have happened this way, but once again the football gods weren't on our side.

As for my theory, ya, I'd say we still spent the off-season trying to build a MTL-killing team.  Absent our 2 stupid turnovers we probably win.

We lost last year because of a fumble didn't we?

Quote from: bomb squad on November 07, 2026, 10:12:41 PMWe ended up being the 4th best team by the end of the season. We looked like 8th a few weeks ago. Nice rally to end the season. But some changes need to be made. Big ones.

I agree we really need to make some major changes for 2027 if we want to have any shot at winning consistently. And I think changes need to be made on both sides of the ball and maybe even at the OC level.

A far closer game than I expected thanks to the wind. In calmer conditions, the Als likely pass for well over 400 yards and put up 40 + points. Als still dominated with 452 yards versus the Bombers 320.  Alexander had 373 passing yards versus Zach's barely 200 yards.

Zach's 3rd last drive was pretty much the point I thought the Bombers would be done.  Zach was given excellent field position and all he ended up with was a field goal.  I knew that the Als would not be kept at bay for the remainder of the game...that they would have at least another TD in them...and sure enough that is what happened.  Two possessions later and the Als drove the ball down the field with relative ease and scored a td to go up by two scores and put the game away.

Zach was OK, but in this game he continued to show he is a bottom tier qb in the league as he has been the past few seasons.

Quote from: bomb squad on November 07, 2026, 10:15:16 PMIt's not a "thing" that we use often. But it is available (no, not IG), and that was the time to use it. The rushing caused the miss.

AFAIK there's no "spiking" rule in the book.  By definition it would be a forward pass behind the LoS with zero eligibles around.  That's IG every day.

If it was clearly allowed by the rules, we'd see it a lot more.  Yet we really never do unless it's some new USA QB like Johnny Football who thinks they are down south.

Keep Singer, Vaval, Williams, Perkins, Kramdi.  Everyone else is on the block.

Congrats to the Als. Good luck in the Grey Cup. Thanks for all the thrills this season, Bombers. Better luck next time.
Go Bombers!

I was being a bit sarcastic but we made a lot of mistakes. Practice may have helped. Hindsight is great.

What an *** clown Maas is asked about the Bombers just talked about how great Mtl is.

I had to google it, a rugby player from South Africa who passed away in 2024.  Why would he talk about him other than trash talking like..oh..your mama is this.. or oh..your father is this.  He sounds soft tbh.

I can say this because my family has passed and if someone trash talked them in a sporting moment I would laugh and let it rile me up..and I wouldn't mention it to the other ones coach. How weird.

Just my opinion.

An intentional grounding loss for another yard. Not a big deal. Not having 4 downs is the difference why it's not done.

Ya, and a final D breakdown to seal the deal.  This game went a lot like last season.  Except I think we had them more on the ropes this time.

They just have too many guys (RECs) who can scrape that extra little tough play, and we don't.  Their freight-train RB who fell for 4 extra yards every time also helped, which is ironic because he's one of those 1/3rd the price of Brady RBs.

2 turnovers to 0.  You don't win that way.  Snead getting his hands under the ball on the final TD is the football gods telling us they don't want us in the cup.

Did we have a stage with lights when we won the final? It seems kind of lavish.

He's a little b for whining to OSH about it.  I could overlook most of his other bs this season, but that has Willow written all over it.

Somehow this year our performance game in and game out didnt reflect our talent and thats a large part on the coaches
