Quote from: Blue In BC on October 06, 2024, 01:37:22 PMWheatfall was out too but he's another player I didn't see his injury. The catch is that we don't have 1st place locked up and we play before the Riders face the Lions. So we can't rest anyone that is healthy this week.

Neufeld, Wilson, Wheatfall, Alexander, Ayers and Griffin is a big list of TBD. Bombers went into the game with Adams, Demski, Haba and Whitehead not 100%.

Obviously most players are not 100% at this time of the season. Until we hear otherwise, chances are everyone can play.
Good points. We owe the Argos a beating anyway. Let's not disappoint them.  ;)

When it comes to this club and injuries, we've been dealing with it all season, so it's nothing new to this group.

"Next man up!"
Go Bombers!

A quick Ticketmaster look suggests this game is totally sold out. There's a few single tickets in a couple sections. That's it!

Going to end with three straight sellouts and another season of consistently high attendance. (And hopefully another Western Final windfall.)

The strength of this ball club and this run is something we might not see again for a long time.  There is something very special happening in Bomberland.  Some thought the band was breaking up but the should be another good album or two left.  The attendance is just amazing and I'm just as proud of the fans as I am this organization.

I can't make the playoff game so this is my swan song.

We should throw everything we have at this game.  It's eminently winnable and it'll set the future in stone.  I don't care who is nicked, if they can run, they play.

Win this week and we can rest for 4 weeks: plenty of time for everyone to get healthy.  In no way do we want any uncertainty going into the bye.  If MTL is going to be our GC opposition, I want that final game to mean as much to us as it does to them.

As for TOR: will they go max-run like they did their last game?  Carey suddenly being good again?  I would guess they roll with that since our run D can give up explosions sometimes.  Why not stick with it until it stops working?

Carey's a shifty speed back so we need to take that into consideration when setting the AR.  Should mean Cole stays in and maybe less emphasis on DT.  I expect we employ our flat-roaming 1-2 spies, since Kelly is mobile and Carey is a risk for dumps.

We actually have morphed into a team that defaults to a very good scheme to stop a team like TOR or MTL.  I don't think this is by accident.  We've had an eye to the cup the whole time.

I'm just hoping we dig deep and win this game to allow us to go into the bye knowing we have first place locked up.  We can let some of our guys heal up and look towards that western final game.

Bombers control their own destiny. We owe the Argos a beat down IMO. Don't let Kelly escape the pocket.

So, we play at home, then a bye, then in Montreal.

If all goes well, then a bye (hopefully) and then at home for the WF, and then in BC for the GC.

Pretty favourable schedule to run out the year.

Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

From Dan Ralph:

Hearing LB Bryce Notree is signing with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Notree was formerly with the Montreal Alouettes, playing in 14 games over the last two seasons with the club.

I knew we would bring in an LB after someone else said none on PR.  Our injuries must not be great.  I know this name, anyone have the coles notes on his play?

Worth taking a look but it does make you wonder if we've lost another player to our IR. IIRC he was used at MLB and good size.

Goggle works well. 10 Games. 21 DTs, 11 STs, 1 sack. Good size 6'3" 225, big strong LB with good speed and quick to the ball.

Bench 22 reps, 40/4.85, lowest time 4.75, Vertical 34".

Unfortunately, no practice today so the injury report won't come out until tomorrow. I also don't MOS will talk about them on the coaches show tonight. Should be a interesting practice tomorrow. I am expecting a lot of players sitting out.

Seeing only 9 single seats left for the game!!!! And against the Jets season opener.  Already got rid of those tickets.  I can watch lots of Jets games in the dead of winter...right now its Go Bombers Go!!
Once again, the best fans in the league.

I'd rather be a Bomber than a .....

Most teams would have a practice today as there is 7 days between games. But, it's been the norm the last few years for the Bombers to have less practices than other teams.

The formula has been working for the most part so why change now.
