he really does deserve the award in light of his performances leading up to the GC.....especially the WF.   I hope he retains his focus against the Als who have a formidable defence.....perhaps even better than BC's.    I'm sure he cares more about bringing that Cup back to Portage and Main than any of the two awards he was nominating for.   There would (I'm speculating here) be no one else on the Bomber roster or staff happier than Brady if they win it all!!   Some would be close though....

Last year I re-upped and it was a choice between Brady and Demski. Brady wasn't proven yet, so I went with Slick Nic.

No regrets at all - it was a win-win situation - but I sure would love me an Oliveira jersey rn!

The guy is already a legend and he's just getting started. LFG.

I had a blank home Bomber jersey a won form a couple LDC trips ago. I decided Brady is the player I will put on it! He is amazing.

Maybe a BO20 autographed jersey for the 2024 Pickems contest??

You have me already wondering how I can sabotage everyone else's picks.

I have three autographed jerseys that I cherish....one is an autographed Leafs Jersey with Johnny Bowers signature that was given to me.  Another is a Jets jersey signed by #1 Joe Daley one of our first Jets goalies.  My most cherished is a Bombers #29 Jersey autographed by Leo Lewis Jr. on the day he came to Winnipeg to participate in the banner raising ceremony for his dad, Leo Lewis.   He even signed it like his father and left out the "jr".
I will be adding another jersey to my collection and it will be #20 Oliveira.....I will try and have the Bombers staff from the Bomber store arrange to have Brady sign it and in return make a donation to the charity of his choice.   I did the same for Joe Daley who still lives in Winnipeg and does a lot of charity work in the city.

From Jeff Hamilton in today's Free Press:

"I had an interesting exchange with Oliveira this week about his future. He's on an expiring contract and while he loves his time in Winnipeg and can't imagine playing anywhere else in the CFL, his plan is to pursue the NFL next season. While that would be an awesome opportunity for Oliveira, what a loss that would be for Winnipeg, seeing how much he does for his home province both on and off the field."

I hate this. Because we?re all going to spend all this brainpower posting about all the reasons why Brady can?t or shouldn?t leave for the NFL when we should just be talking about how awesome he is this week.

But instead, here comes a bunch of posts about how he?s too slow.

Have to agree, Brady should have kept this under his hat for another few days.

I was thinking the same thing. Focus should be on the game and nothing else, plenty of time to plan for next year on Nov 20th
