As the dust settles...that was an epic collapse....

Mtrl's defence is no joke

Please, please, please do not allow those horns into the Grey Cup.....please

Did you watch the int's that Kelly threw?  They were thrown TO THE DEFENDER more than to the receiver.  You could not throw worse passes than those.  The Daquoy int looked like slow motion, with the ball lobbed right into his hands, and then Kelly taking a bad angle and giving up on pursuit.

This loss is 100% on Kelly.  So sad that he will win MOP over BO20, who dominated the WDF.  And even worse that ZC8 wasn't even considered.

Kelly got a huge deal, and then was a huge letdown.  Against an inferior team.

Montreal's D is pretty good, and adding Sankey and Lemon to them was exceptional GM'ing (still have to see how they paid for them).  Not sure how long Lemon signed for, assuming 1 year, and Sankey os confirmed 1 year deal.  Daquoy is signed through 2025, and Fajardo through 2024, Mack sign his ELC this year, so he has one left....  so a lot of keys are locked down for next year, but Machiocha will still have some work to do...
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

Uguak, Montreal's 7th overall pick in this years draft has been very good.

Despite his poor showing yesterday he will likely win the MOP award over Brady....he has received soooo much hype and media attention this year it's embarrassing.   Not playing in any meaningful games over their last 6 didn't do him any favours either,

I think the voting is done already

That's the big question, eh?  Maybe DT can answer that... someone call in tomorrow.

I'm not sure it's a slam dunk for Kelly regardless of whether they include the division final results.  But certainly if they haven't voted yet (or can change their votes) I don't see any way they can give Kelly MOP without looking a bit silly.  Sure, it was just one bad game, but it was just soooooo bad, and much of it falls on him alone.

That said, he clearly is still a good QB, and had a great year and will be good next year.  He's a victim to the "any given Saturday" thing, at the worst possible time.

Who knows if things would have been different had he started vs us and won (big confidence boost) or lost (deal with their first adversity before the EDF).

I think most of the EDF debacle can be chalked up to Thorpe & co out-planning and out-calling TOR.  They clearly spent many weeks prepping just to beat TOR and found literally every weakness and tendency they could.  Then TOR came out and played their vanilla game and wondered why MTL was in the playbook.  Kind of like us in last year's GC, but reversed.

I think MTL blew their wad in this game and hasn't prepped at all for a GC they thought was a long shot.  A Riderfan post said it best: the EDF was MTL's GC.  That's why they gatoraded Maas: it's the best they can hope to achieve.  Not to say they won't prep all this week and scheme to beat us: but it won't be enough.  Unless cochons voler.

That guy is one to watch.  Too bad he got the recognition by the booth guys, he won't be a discard we can get cheap in the future.  The best is to spot guys making plays that most people miss, wait for the cut, and snap them up for near-ELC.

And too bad Dequoy will probably be in MTL his whole career...

Does anyone have the QB Rating score for Kelly in this one game?  Is a negative number possible??  Haha.

Gotta watch this game over again. I missed 3 quarters of it.

This is gonna be hilarious. :D

Als OL is Swiss cheese though. Our DL should salivating.

TO should have used Ouelette even more. He came to play unlike many Argos.

Wolfie eyes looked depressed early on. Maybe he hated the Argo OL play?

Bad Chads first pick in the second half? What the hell was he looking at. Double coverage the Argo WR was no where near open.

Argo D doing a great job slamming Cody around.

Kelly 3rd pick was just complete unawareness and a limp throw.

Even when he had the nice drive at the beginning of the 4th Kelly was starring down guys like crazy. Yikes.

Lemon went down at the 12min mark of the 4th non contact injury.

Maybe the Blue Bombers should  pick on Tyrell Sutton on the deep shots.  :)

Overall the Als got pretty beat up physically.

Well that was rather enjoyable in review.

Bunch of Als got dinged up including Fajardo.

Starting DB Evans, Lemon as well. I did not notice him return to the game.

Montreal won a EDF with basically no offensive output less 1 measly TD drive.

Fiveyardo should be ripe for the swatting.

Ya Dinwiddie was ornery basically from that first series on.  The look was one of pure disgust.  Not a good thing to motivate your team when you still have a whole game to fight.  I'm not surprised they kept blowing it.  Maybe the leadership is more toxic than supportive.  I'm glad we seem to keep that out of our team.

Maybe the Blue Bombers should  pick on Tyrell Sutton on the deep shots:)

Ironic as he's one of their better ones.  Evans may be out with concussion too, though they often just lie and say a guy is fine.  Only Stubblefield and Dequoy scare me.  Maybe Ento too.  That leaves 3 DBs worth attacking.

I would be avoiding the wide out short-gainers.  And you need to send 2 on widely-separated go routes so you can pin Dequoy to  the other side.

Actually, my ideal game plan involves almost no passing.  I'll elaborate on the GC thread.  Eliminate MTL's D INT threat and they basically have nothing.  It's like the 2014 Bombers.

Yes, it was really fun wasn't it!  I was having a blast watching it after our game.  No wonder all the tailgaters @IGF were having a grand ol' time yukking it up when I was passing through there pre-game.

I rarely keep the East finals on my PVR, but this one I might keep for posterity and a good laugh whenever I'm bored.  I love the faces Kelly pulls every time he screws up.  Even more scowly than his RBF.  Don't get me wrong: I'm glad another talented QB is in the CFL, but at the same time it's fun to watch him ruin their whole year.

I do believe they only gave AH33 the rock once for maybe 3 yards?  Not a great end to an amazing career.  Should have retired a Bomber... then again, he is +$300k for his extra 2 years.

Maas was really berating his sideline judge when he was doing his freakout over the play clock.  S- and F-bombs all over the place, spittle everywhere, vitriol flying.  Full on Kent Austin mode.

Why doesn't the CFL have a ref abuse rule like MLB?  No manager would ever get away with even 1/10th of what Maas was screaming without getting ejected.

I get explaining/complaining (MOS does it), chirping, and even agitated berating (Dickenson The Remaining), but full on Maas/Austin should receive punishment.  Maybe start with 10Y UC on the bench and go from there.

P.S. Maas was correct, but it doesn't excuse the behavior.  It's one of the few times I've felt sorry for a ref.
