Toronto won exactly zero games against good teams this year. Stegall is a hero in Winnipeg, but his statement was flat-out stupid.

Also, the Argos deserve no player awards. They sat Kelly against the only team that would have proven how good he is.

Just fantastic to watch a team build a 16-2 record off a bunch of weak Eastern conference teams and them fall in love with themselves and believe all the press clippings only to finally choke against another Eastern team in the EF. Couldn't have scripted a better choke job. It's going to be so much fun watching TSN (Toronto Sports Network) try to explain away yet another Argo choke job. Just fantastic! Thank you Als!

This is exactly what happened...beat ottawa and hamilton and a broken montreal team, then coast the last 1/3 of the season, thinking they're all hollywood too cool for school, and bang, get punched in the mouth, never faced adversity and boom, big time choke!!!

Let's cut Milt some slack here. He may have been playing mind games with the Argos and it may have worked beautifully.

Agreed. Kelly bailed on the first test and failed miserably today in this one. Dinwiddie should have exposed his QB to adversity instead of protecting him from it. Huge blunder on his part and he paid the ultimate price for that mistake today.

Ya!  Great spot.  What's up with Ben?  Proulx got gout or bursitis in the past week? 

That said, I like Major way more than Valesi.  Ben's always getting the short end of the stick, and cleats to the face.  Dude looks like he's been through a war zone sometimes.  He's earned his playoff appearance.

I really really really hope this means they are saving Proulx for the big GC.  Proulx has been very fair to us in our dynasty years.

Man the Argos short yardage stinks !!

Why is Kelly in for those sneaks??  They don't have a sneak specialist??  Dukes?  Scott?  In the first half they need 2 and they keep Kelly and he fails miserably.  Then they need 1 and they keep Kelly and he fails miserably.  WPG and The Can Mafia figured this out waaay back with Marve... you need a big SY guy who can get you 1.3Y 97% of the time.

Dinwiddie/Pinball have been so smart otherwise, but they forget this key piece?  They should look at KW's "puzzle piece" approach and patch in those few pieces for next year's run.  Even if Kelly could get those SY plays working, you don't need your franchise (and not very big) QB taking those pile poundings.

Did anyone notice how when Kelly threw the pick and was chasing the Montreal player that he pulled up and quit trying to catch him before he got to the end zone? I guarantee you Kelly's teammates noticed his pathetic effort.

I think Kelly is still wonky in the knee from damage a few games ago.  In any event, I think he did the right thing: he doesn't need to get injured making a tough tackle, nor wear out from a 100Y sprint.  It was only the 1st Q.

Would you want Zach chasing that guy that far and attempting a tackle??  Talk about breath-holding time.

I spotted 1 callable IB and 2 maybe-coulda-callable IBs.  There was a reason so many blue jerseys were laying on the turf wondering if they should bother getting up.  MTL was playing on the edge of legality.

Haha I spotted a bit of "proof" (besides the copious replays)... after the play they show MTL's ST coord (guy with the big beard and bald head) as some ST guys are running off towards him.  Dallaire #39 is running into shot and the ST coord winks at him.  An actual full on wink.  "Nice IB you got away with there guy that allowed the TD!"

Update on Proulx: he was the MTL sideline ref-communicator in the EDF game.  Just saw him trying not to get beat up by Maas 4Q5:15.

Can the game get any crazier?  That same sideline shot where Maas is dropping all sorts of bombs on his poor line judge a black squirrel goes hopping across the top of the screen for TD and quick escape.  Very strange as they are not nocturnal!

So I'm wondering what Maas is having one of his famous meltdowns over, and I do a little 20s play clock check and I think he was moaning that it was not accurate.  I timed it on the live shots (they were doing replays but you can hear the live whistle still) and he's right: the playclock seems off by 3-4s (not in MTL's favor) compared with the whistle.

Maybe a homer clock-worker in TOR hit that button a little soon to screw with MTL?  I agree with Maas here that EITS should look at it and not cost them a timeout.

Mic'ed up QB in the playoffs

Weird... only Kelly was mic'd up, not Cody (that I could hear).  They only played the mic a few times.  Still, this can give the other team an advantage if they can decrypt the play call verbiage.  Only fair they mic up both QBs.
