I don't know what he's like as a human being, as a football player he always played the heel and I will always think of him as such.

It is a crappy thing for the league that his arm went on him. He started so young, he should be in the middle of his prime years in attempt to take out some all time records, but it seems he's not going to get that chance anymore.

Bo is a great human being and well respected here in Calgary.  He and his wife are very active with charity work.  His leaving will be a loss to the city and gain to wherever he ends up.

I don?t think he?s done yet.  He?s had half a season to rest up, and he?s got something to prove.  Hamilton should jettison Evans for BLM, Riders need him but don?t think he ends up there, if Rourke goes NFL the BC would be a great fit with that receiving crew.

Just can't see BLM lasting a whole season. His arm was toast after what 5 or 6 games this season.

He can at least get a $70k signing bonus...
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

Lol he would sign to go to Saskabush take the bonus then retire ala Durant to us. That would be great!

He?s too classy to do that. Only a douche like Durante would pull something like that and it?s sad, as nobody remembers how well he played or what grey cup he was in, only that he stiffed a team for $70k when he retires. Sad.

I like how he thanked the season ticket holders specifically. You rarely here players say that at anytime.

Sir Blue and Gold

Bo played like and carried himself on the field with a swagger that some perceived as arrogance - it's easy to see why. The athlete and the every day human are often different though. I think Bo is one of those guys who found success with a certain mentality and it worked for him. It's good to remember that football players are still people and what you see on the field does not always define their day to day. Who acts the exact same at work as they do at home? Not many and the football field is a unique workplace.

Great Thoughts.

Hamilton needs a couple QBs.
If Rourke bolts...not sure he will, that Vince Adams guy seems fragile mentally, but he can run.  So, that will be interestng.  Actually Adams back to Sask, would be a good fit.
Montreal has to be happy with Harris.  Sort of like he Bombers.  Great defences put Harris and Zac in great field position.

MBT is safe, he puts up big yards
Maier didnt look very good against a good but not great D.
Calgary has to retain their star receivers.

Fajardo needs to get his knee fixed.

Toss up so far!

I don?t think  BLM goes to TSN, he seemed to indicate he hasn?t played his last down yet, and I think he?s got something left in the tank. He did better than Maier in the semi final, not sure why Dickie didn?t go to him earlier or really, why he made the switch at all. If I was Calgary I?d retain him and bring him to training camp and let the best Qb start, and judging from the west semi, it would be BLM.

First, Rourke is a BC kid and has single handedly made the Lions relevant again. The guy is worshipped there and will get keys to the city soon. He isn?t going anywhere.

As for BLM, I always despised him, him playing for a competitor and all, but the year he was on the Grey Cup panel (last year I think), I warmed up to him quite a bit. He was knowledgeable, funny and well spoken. He?d be a great permanent upgrade over Sanchez when he does retire.

Chucking in Ohio does not count as acclimatized as it pertains to Sunday.

Agree 100%. Rourke knows a good thing when he sees it and even though he had a great rookie season, I don?t think he has the body of work yet to get a serious look down south and even if he did, he ll be practice roster material. What a waste that would be.

I felt the same about BLM, despised his arrogance when he played but he really came across good on his panel appearance and would be a massive upgrade from those on there now, massive.

Header should read, "Bo humbled, Tries to leave with some Class".  Bo said enough over the years to show his lack of class, though I put some of that on comments made in the heat of a battle.  Overall, he's probably an okay guy, I mean who doesn't trash talk Rider Nation daily? So maybe he's a bit better than just an okay guy.
For the league, he's a great ambassador and needs to continue on in some capacity.  I see him heading east to Toronto, after McBeth loses to the Bombers in the GC.

If I was BLM I'd wait to find out what Rourke is doing next year before signing with any other team, no better option than stepping into Rourke's vacated shoes and taking over a well functioning Lion offence loaded with weapons.
