Never like BLM and his cocky attitude but then I think about it. Now looking back on it maybe he wasn't cocky, just confident. If you read the article you will see that BLM is actually a classy guy who loves football, Calgary, his teammates, coaches and is respected by many players both past and present.

Still not sure if Mair is the answer in Cowtown, but that is there choice and I wish BLM the best of luck wherever he ends up. The Rider fans hate for BLM is mainly due to the fact that they lost to the Stamps many times with BLM as QB and if I were the Riders I'd be pushing hard to get BLM this offseason. Good luck to BLM except against the Bombers lol.

BLM is a class act period. He was loyal to Calgary when his contract was up for renewal a few years ago. He could have left for more money but took less and stayed loyal. Not like Mike Reilly who left for greener pastures, and it didn't turn out.  It's hard to find loyal players now a days, there are still some but not a ton.

I hope he finds another team and does well, i would take him in a heartbeat if i was starting a franchise.

Good luck BLM !!

I had a chance to meet Bo at the 2021 Grey Cup Awards ceremony. In person, he is a very kind guy.

Jesse

I don't know what he's like as a human being, as a football player he always played the heel and I will always think of him as such.

It is a crappy thing for the league that his arm went on him. He started so young, he should be in the middle of his prime years in attempt to take out some all time records, but it seems he's not going to get that chance anymore.
My wife is amazing!

Lincoln Locomotive

One of the winningest QBs ever....he was always confident and that air always preceded him to the point of cockiness.  He usually backed it up though and was a winner.    Not sure anyone has or ever will match his percentage of games won over a decade?

BLM was one of the best. He looked very good on Sunday for less than a quarter. He found holes in BC D that Jake couldn't. He should that the route KG did for rest of his career. Bo's experience and a fresh arm mite be a good thing for a few teams in the CFL.

He can still sign a year or two for $400k... a lot more than he'd get coaching or as an analyst...

Would be funny to see him in a Riders uniform, but Hamilton might be an option too... and depending on Rourke's southern interest, maybe even BC...

I am sure a lot of teams will be knocking on his door or have already. Saskatchewan and Hamilton would be ideal places for him.

Jesse

Sask would be a terrible place for him.

Sask would be a terrible place for him any free agent QB.

FTFY

I expect the Ti-Cats to go hard after Mitchell in free agency.

Depends on if he wants to play one year or more.  One year, SSK is perfect, because he will probably end up on the 6 game quick, and that'll be the career, and he'll get paid his full deal (and part of the next year now if he signs multi year...)...

If he wants more than a year, and actually wants to play, unless SSK makes some moves with coaching and Oline, yes, SSK is horrible for him.

Regardless, he will get a starting role next year in the CFL.

A few teams will be looking to bring BLM in my opinion. Here is my take and I'll add that my opinions are based on the post season as well as how much money will each team offer BLM.

He looked like the old BLM last week when he got in the game. Many think he is done, In my opinion he is still only 32 and I don't believe he is done. Everyone thought Collaros was done, we took a chance and look how great Zach has been.

Saskatchewan: Farjardo wasn't the answer and is on the outs. Doubt Saskatchewan has enough faith in Fine or the other guy, UNLESS they go into complete rebuild mode. They need to address the OLINE first or no QB will be successful imo.

Edmonton: BLM may look to stay close to home but the questions are; Does Jones want him? Does BLM want to play for Jones? Is Edmonton willing to make Cornelius or Ford starter next season?

BC: If Rourke bolts, are they content with VA and or AP?

Ottawa: New coach, New system. Are they content with Masoli, Evans or NA? Not sure they are imo.

Hamilton: I think they kept the wrong QB and have said that since Masoli moved on. Dane Evans is good and bad, do they give him another year? Not sure.

Toronto: Depends on what happens against Montreal, do they keep MBT? Is Kelly ready? We will see on the weekend what happens when they play MTL  then the GC (if they beat MTL), the QB picture will be more clear after the playoffs.

Montreal: Same as above (Toronto) is Harris really the answer? I'm not too sure about it but imo BLM is an upgrade. We will see what happens in the playoffs.

I would not count out TO either.  They out bid Calgary the last time, but BO was only using them to up the bid.  This time it is a different story.

theaardvark

Remember EDM giving up on Ray... who went on to a Hall of Fame worthy "second career".  What Bo has left in the tank is something teams will have to decide.

TO is set with MBT / Kelly

MTL Harris is no long term answer, but is current Harris a better solution than current BLM?  BLM is 3 years younger on paper...  and we know Davis is not the next one.

OTT has Arbuckle under contract, and Masoli (34) in the wings

Ham has Evans and Shiltz, neither are awe inspiring, but I'm wondering if Fajardo doesn't end up here...

Riders - maybe, if they do something to protect him better.  But thinking not the right fit for a rebuild.

Edm - no

CGY - no

BC - depends on Rourke.  If he moves on, BLM might be the bridge to when he comes back...

I listened to the Roughriders Post Game show after the final loss to Calgary. They had Nik Lewis on as a special guest filling in. He said there's no way BLM goes to Regina.
The rider fans and BLM had a serious hate for each other over many years, and Lewis said he doesn't forget that stuff. He was certain he would not go to Regina to play.
