Thanks so much Foxhound!  Great info.

Avoiding these game-day change problems sounds like a full-time job!  :D

If someone could listen and post to the forum these changes that would sure be useful  ;)  Of course, then one would lose the advantage gained from the info  ;) ;)

My dad had Arbuckle cause he doesn't follow much social media and I didn't know so I didn't tell him and I still lost our match-up.. I had Reilly but he has Whitehead so I kept getting bummed when Whitehead got the TDs. Lol.

That Nick Arbuckle was hurt and wouldn't play was prominently reported on the CFL site on Thursday. If you're playing Fantasy, at a bare minimum you should check the Depth Charts which are posted on the CFL site the day before the game. The worst that can happen then is that you get gassed on a last minute switch due to injury but that happens only on the very odd occasion.

Ya, but when the games are spaced 2 days apart (like Wed/Fri) you don't get all the depth charts in your hands about the later games when the early games are played.  So you might be able to change your later game players if they are charted as out, but you might have tied up your money in funny ways that messes you up by limiting your changes to just those later games.

It's really tough!

I'm surprised with two non-playing-but-were-charted players (Bennett/Rogers) getting me zero points I was able to almost keep up with the rest of you guys.  My big mistake was paying up for Burnham when Lucky was the correct choice.  So close with 2 TDs in the EZ batted away from Burnham...

Well the Tiger-Cat RB Maleek Irons and Argonaut WR Ricky Collins whom I picked that played didn't exactly get many points more than zero.

I don't care enough to do that for CFL, NFL I would. My father as I said, doesn't do social media and certainly wouldn't be staring down depth charts either..

You care more for the NFL than the CFL and you're a mod on this forum?

Hey, question for the Fantasy vets?

How do the rosters and cap work when teams place twice in a week?  According to this weeks schedule, both the Argos and Ottawa are playing two games.  Do they make players from those teams more expensive?  Do they average each players points?  Does everyone just load up on players from those teams?

I tried looking on the site and could not find any explanation as to how it is supposed to work.  Thanks in advance for any insight.

Good question paw!  I don't think "vets" will help as this is a never-before-seen scenario, no?

Strangely, the fantasy site hasn't yet rolled over to the next week.  That's weird as usually by Monday it's rolled over.

Maybe they are sitting there trying to figure out what the system will do!

If the site doesn't break completely, or just ignore the TOR@HAM game, then I would guess you are right and the 2-game teams' players will get monga points and/or they will cost a lot more.

The schedule is ultra-weird because not only are they putting in an extra game, but they are putting BC on the bye which makes no sense at all when you're forcing teams to play 2 games in a week!  If they had OTT@BC for instance, then only OTT would have 2 games, instead of both OTT and TOR having 2 games.

Depending on how it plays out, TOR (and even OTT) could have some amazing fantasy picks for cheap if you can capture 2 games of points.

I think we'll see as soon as fantasy enables this week.

The platform is enabled.  They are managing the extra game by upping the price on players who play twice.

For instance McLeod B-T is priced at $14k, which is substantially more than Collaros coming off a 400+ game.

Ah yes, it's enabled now.

Interesting, some top picks are more expensive (MBT, Rogers), but the lesser people are not much more than usual.  The D's are particularly cheap (lowest price).

Hmm... they raised the prices because of the extra game, but the 40k cap stays the same... you'd think they'd add a bit more to the cap because there's higher prices and 25% more game being played.

It'll be interesting to see how everyone handles this.

Bloody hell!

So here I was with 101.2 Fantasy points just 24.3 behind the leader going into tomorrow's games. But!!! I still had all six of my players and the Argonauts defence in action which I believed left it quite possible for me to emerge as #1 for the week since the Fantasy participants ahead of me didn't have as many players as I did still in action.

And then late this morning coach Paul LaPolice of the Ottawa RedBlacks decided not to play Kenny Stafford  tomorrow against the Alouettes despite Stafford catching three passes for 75 yards against the Argonauts on Wednesday.

****! Talk about a hard body blow to my hopes.

So with two weeks to go in the regular season I stand at #9 in Fantasy overall out of 9497 participants.

The problem now of course is moving up further since the Fantasy participants way high up in the overall standings are all very shrewd indeed. With three weeks to go last year I was #13 but dropped down to #23 by the end of the season. We'll see if I can move up instead of down this year.

Does anyone know Drewinator? He's a Blue Bomber fan and crackerjack Fantasy player who's missing in action so far this year.
