I see the rules only apply to Canada tonight so far...

Never mind, the officiating has been awful to both teams.

For sure. Bad time for that turn over leading to the tying goal. Should have held on.

That said, great PK and fending them off the rest of the time.

Off to OT...

Lame shootout.  Not convinced Canada would win in another OT period though

Too bad the hockey game couldn?t be decided by hockey.

Good game, girls. Still very proud.

Canada was largely outplayed tonight.  Silver it is...

another "ouch"...no gold for the men's curling team - playing for bronze...I guess the competition is getting better.

I hate shootouts.

Even if Canada had won, they do not belong in gold medal deciding games. I would have gladly stayed up to watch another 6 periods of OT hockey than watch an Olympic gold be decided on a skills competition.

That being said, credit to the US women's team. They played better.

Should have sent some teams from Manitoba.
Money is no object...especially when you have none.

If only we'd have been able to bring our NHL players, we could have beat the US ;)

Looks like womens hockey is taking the same development track the NHL has, and we are seeing smaller, faster teams beating the big bruising teams...  Canada might have to get a little younger and faster to keep up.  Stacey looks like the future for us, flashes of very good play from her...
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

Ditto.

I realize any only takes one mistake and shot the other way, but TC was having difficulty keeping up with the speed of the US 4v4 on the big ice.

The last 5 minutes of OT, Cdn women were absolutely gassed. The lines were constantly being juggled to try and inject some life.

It didn't seemed like it to me. Canada iced what seemed like 9 players for 95% of a 20 minute 4on4 OT. I think if they juggled the lines a bit they would have seen a better outcome, or at least would have stood a chance at ending it before the shootout.
