Quote from: Tecno on October 04, 2026, 01:27:36 AMSure you can because it's ostensibly his last year.  And if he's not willing to do it, then just retire him today.  If every time he steps on the field it's a "risk to his health" then he shouldn't dress ever.  Why pretend at all?

If I'm Zach & WFC and it's Zach's swansong and he wants to play you just put him out there no matter what.  You know, like every other QB.  Only VAJ has been out for "concussion" this season, besides Zach.  Yet so many have taken concussion-type hits.  They just play through it.  And if you can't then you should retire.

Zach on the bench is a CHOICE.  I'm not saying force Zach to do it, but everyone needs to sit down and decide if we're going to care or not care.  If everyone cares, then retire him.  Otherwise, you play to win.

We don't know if Zach is out with a concussion, my guess is that is what it is.  He is susceptible - that's how it works.  You get multiple concussions, you are at increased risk for more.  If you are clear, you can play, but if you are post-concussion and get another, that is a huge risk.  That's what has changed in the last 25 years - everyone knows football is a big risk for concussions, so you have to at least reduce the long-term risk to the individual.

Just ask Matt Dunigan.

Brady.. 8 carries for 36 yards before this?  Terrible.

To be fair to Condell, you try calling offense when you're probably 8th or 9th in the league at pass protection.

He's got a gimped Collaros and a very average backup and not much help. He's been given three national receivers and a running back who can only attack the middle.

It's tough.

Quote from: Sir Blue and Gold on October 04, 2026, 01:30:01 AMTechno, I get we're all grumpy but get out of here with this nonsense. Zach is hurt and on the 6-game. He's been hurt for about three years and he probably shouldn't be playing.

He was not going to win this game.

I'm mildly grumpy, but no more than the rest of the failed season.  But my take on Zach has not changed even once in the last 2 months.  If it's his swansong and he wants to play then he should play.  If he won't/can't then let's stop pretending and retire him yesterday.

It's so stupid to do this nonsense "Zach fell down with a booboo and will be out 4 weeks" over and over.  It only frustrates everyone and the team can never gel or get confidence, and the fans have no idea what's going on.

Zach won the 1st MTL game, he would have given us a chance in this one.  Keep in mind Dru not being able to stay on the field makes it harder for our D to operate as they get tired much faster.
Never go full Johnston!

Proulx rotated the ball back as the stick was being put down making it look like they were short but they actually had it.

Sway

Points the ball back up. Haha

Wasn't even close anyways

Terrible spot

Well that's the biggest bummer for me this game -- a failed SY and ToD.

Valesi and L'il Kim would have tilted that ball forward, not back, and had the stick tilted towards the ball and called it a first down.  No consistency on measurements.

However, it was fair because the spot was waaaay too generous.

This is embarrassing now.  Condell needs to go. So does the Oline coach.  THey haven't helped Brady or our Qbs.  No creative play calling, just straight up predictable plays the other defense can defend against.
