Makes you wonder why we didn't target him more.  We definitely put him solidly in as read #4, when it's clear he can be a #3 or #2.  That's on Buck and Zach.

Quote from: dd on July 05, 2024, 03:48:41 AMCameron dukes makes me pukes!! What is he thinking!?! Single handedly cost them the game.

What I see is a SSK D that did massive amounts of film study and came up with a plan tailor made to trick & maul Dukes.  Many are forgetting that Dukes is basically a noobie, all the good recent wins notwithstanding.  He's not Kelly.  I thought teams would do this to him in weeks 1-4, but it took until week 5 for a team to figure it out.  Teams will take this template and TOR will start losing half their games.

SSK D eviscerating Dukes is 100% due to the SSK braintrust.  We used to do that.  You know, tailor your D to the other team's weaknesses.  You know, like MTL and SSK clearly do.  Ya, that would be nice if we could do that again.

Yes, super well-coached and well-coordinated and well-brained.  Then they executed.  I bet Sayles was taken for only $110k... too bad that wasn't us.

TOR should not be losing this game against a nobody QB who isn't that great, with a struggling run game, and a LT injured halfway through!  SSK OL moved 3 players around to make up for that.  They should have been as porous as ours, but they weren't!

Is part of our problem OL coach?  We blame our OL talent, but what if some (lots?) of this os on the coach?  I mean, our guys should be coached up on stopping simple stunts, shouldn't they?  Hmmm...

I'd put this TOR loss more down to TOR screwing up badly than SSK being great.  But SSK can bask in the rash of early undeserved wins.  I don't mind that their fanbase gets a bone thrown at them to start the year.  Build up their hope, just so you can crush their dreams come week 21!

Argos self destructed with errors and turnovers. Grant and Bailey played well.

So who would have picked the Riders to be 4-0 and the Bombers to be 0-4?   They could very well be 5-0 after Ottawa leaves town tonight!   It's Strevvy vs. Dru and we have our two best all star receivers out long term.   You think Dru had this day circled on his calendar?

Fun game if you like take aways. Amazing that the Argos were even close with 5 turnovers.

Dukes showed that he's a young QB with a ton to learn. The Riders shut down the Argos running game and forced Dukes to win it with his arm. He wasn't up to the task.

Just call me Owen cuz I'm Owen-1 in this weeks pick-ums.

Marty Costello enters his ninth year with the Blue Bombers in 2024, and seventh as the club's offensive line coach. ... In 2021 the Blue Bombers surrendered the fewest quarterback sacks in the league as part of an offence which also finished first in scoring and second in yards rushing.

He suddenly forgot how to coach? You have to look at everything but I'd be pretty surprised if this is the problem.

Doesn't say much for Nick Arbuckle when the Argos start a raw QB ahead of him, not sure why he hasn't been able to progress as a QB, he's not even suitable for 3rd downs. What's the point of having him on the squad?

I know its been said many times, many ways, but the Canadian Mafia has been pretty much bulletproof over the years.

Every time we've lost a player to them growing outof our $SMS, we've next man up'd.  And a lot of those players that moved on did not do amazingly well with thier new teams.  Sure, most played good, they were good players.  But many did not earn the salaraies that ripped them away from us.

This is the first year where that has not happened.  This is the first year I can remember where multiple players are showing well for other teams, and guys like Grant and Bailey weren't even big steals from us, they were borderline can't signs.

Now, we have 25% of our $SMS on IR/dressed but not playing.  Our "next men up" haven't really been shining, and we are 0-4.

We had an amazing run of luck and scouting.

Now we have had a short run f bad luck.

The real measure is how we handle it, both as a team and as fans.

Not sure what's happening in Regina. Winning team, and  lots of empty seats??

Toronto with 5 turnovers, and a bunch of bad penalties.

Didn't even crack 23K last night. That's concerning with the Riders being atop the standings so far.

Coaching a room full of vets that have played together for years is different than coaching new players from the ground up.

Was there a tornado warning/bad weather  or something that kept fans away?? The game was delayed a bit due to weather. I can't imagine they're all at the lake

We miss Hardrick - plain and simple, he is one of the best in recent history.  The new players on the o line aren't close to his talent and experience.
