those situations are not even comparable. Riders have had some success recently. They've made the playoffs and have had 500+ seasons, the Blue Bombers at that time were mired in loser coach after loser coach for what seemed like forever with zero hope.

Until he hits the tub for 9 games! He's great when healthy, but that is what like 50-60% of the time only? Can't do much for the team sitting in the tub rehabbing too often. MAybe he's broken his curse this season, but we shall see.

Ya, but that's only because we just saw him get a KR TD... until he did that he was still a gamble.  He did nada for us after returning from injury in 2023... I agree with KW: if he wanted to stay for ELC or maybe ELC+25, then fine, otherwise good bye.

It was a calculated gamble.  We pulled a Wally by releasing him maybe 1 season too soon.  Maybe.  He may still take another bad injury... then he can tub-sit on TOR's dime.  If he does nothing but get TDs for 2 years and never gets injured, ya, then we cry.

I really hate the TOR jersey font.  #86 and #88 look virtually identical when the players are in motion and the shirts bunch up that tiny little gap between the top-part of the 6 and the body.

Ya, we sucked for longer, for sure.  But SSK has not "had some success recently" before this season: they missed the playoffs in 2022 and 2023.  That why Dickenson The Fired is no longer in SSK.

Two years of major suckage really rattled that province.  I know, I listened to CKRM all last year.  Suicide hotline would have been better for most of their callers.

By this metric, yes, but not by much!  Many WPG fans gave up after 3 seasons of sucking (2012-2014), many SSK fans gave up after only 2 (2022-2023).  And from the looks of it more SSK fans gave up than WPG fans, though someone might have to run the attendance numbers.

I think we're still the better fan base, but SSK has long been considered "the best", "Canada's Team", etc.  If they keep leaving that stadium so un-filled, it'll make great fodder to jibe them on when we see them @LDC and BB... However, they may have the last (best) laugh if we continue our suckage and lose.

What I see is a SSK D that did massive amounts of film study and came up with a plan tailor made to trick & maul Dukes.  Many are forgetting that Dukes is basically a noobie, all the good recent wins notwithstanding.  He's not Kelly.  I thought teams would do this to him in weeks 1-4, but it took until week 5 for a team to figure it out.  Teams will take this template and TOR will start losing half their games.

SSK D eviscerating Dukes is 100% due to the SSK braintrust.  We used to do that.  You know, tailor your D to the other team's weaknesses.  You know, like MTL and SSK clearly do.  Ya, that would be nice if we could do that again.

TOR should not be losing this game against a nobody QB who isn't that great, with a struggling run game, and a LT injured halfway through!  SSK OL moved 3 players around to make up for that.  They should have been as porous as ours, but they weren't!

Doesn't say much for Nick Arbuckle when the Argos start a raw QB ahead of him, not sure why he hasn't been able to progress as a QB, he's not even suitable for 3rd downs. What's the point of having him on the squad?

I know its been said many times, many ways, but the Canadian Mafia has been pretty much bulletproof over the years.

Every time we've lost a player to them growing outof our $SMS, we've next man up'd.  And a lot of those players that moved on did not do amazingly well with thier new teams.  Sure, most played good, they were good players.  But many did not earn the salaraies that ripped them away from us.

This is the first year where that has not happened.  This is the first year I can remember where multiple players are showing well for other teams, and guys like Grant and Bailey weren't even big steals from us, they were borderline can't signs.

Now, we have 25% of our $SMS on IR/dressed but not playing.  Our "next men up" haven't really been shining, and we are 0-4.

We had an amazing run of luck and scouting.

Now we have had a short run f bad luck.

The real measure is how we handle it, both as a team and as fans.

I honestly feel it's our interior that gives up the most pressure, but with all the changes along the line, everyone's kind of taking turns screwing up (and that includes the QB and receivers as well).

Hardrick has his share of whiffs, and does play a consistent game, but not $250k worth for a RT.  He does being a different thing to the game with his leadership / attitude.  That, we miss, for sure.

So MOS brought this up as well and my interpretation is this: MOS does not police the room. This is the culture thing that's been brought up ad nauseam. The players are expected to bring themselves short after a game like week 1. But after our 0-4 start, the "reminder" was given from coaches and, to their credit, we saw them respond.

MOS also made a point of saying that, had they not responded, another conversation would have been had.

Good point.  But they were also bad and weak on running in earlier weeks.  Maybe Marty decided it was easier to beef up their run game rather than pass-pro game?  One thing at a time?

I'll have to go back and relisten.  I recall something like that but he sometimes says stuff like that under his breath, so I don't always make it all out the first time 'round.  Saying something like that certainly would be sending a message, eh?
