I don?t know if Buck being soft-spoken matters. What matter IMHO is how effectively he communicates with his players. I think he?s earned the respect of the offence, and those are veteran guys. I think he?d be a good head coach. Just not sure he?d want to leave a great thing here, not to mention his family ties to Winnipeg.
agreed.....hope he stays with us as OC.   Perhaps we increase his pay next season?

Pretty sure the entire staff makes about the max we can pay them, we don't leave $SMS on the table, and we don't waste a lot of it paying coaches not to coach for us.  If there is a bump in the cap, I can see everyone getting a commensurate bump.

That said, I don't think any of our management team is making the top end of salaries, but I don't think any are hurting.  And I think all of them are enjoying the heck out of their jobs.
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

No Briggs, Hansen, Grant, or BOO, today at practice. Gauthier was running sprints on the sidelines. But was not wearing equipment.

Martin, our new receiver is wearing number 77. Good speed, good hands, but still learning the CFL. He's a little shorter then DS83, but looks a little quicker.  Looks like Murphy has taken under his wing, along with Blackmon.

OM77 back receiving punts: One he let bounce around and stayed about 10 yards away from it, just like an NFL punter returner would do. Rose talked to him after that play.

Murphy: This kid is rock solid. Catches everything, works his a-- off out there on every play.

ZC8 got picked off a number of times. D was having some fun. Lots of push ups today. However the D had a piece of paper on the sidelines that was blowing down the field, I think it mite of had a few plays on it.

Darby: He was moving well, and is always working with the players on D.

Miller: Wonders around most of the practice, but doesn't workout at all.

Thanks for the update! I'm a fan of Murphy as well, hope he gets more reps

Apparently Jeffcoat did not practice, having problems with his hip again.

Not true. JJ did extra work with the trainer before practice. But, he did take part in practice.

Bombers are going to have to keep Casey Sayles away from Zach. CS44 is having a great year with 36DTs, and 4 sacks,

Just an awful kickoff time for this one.  3pm HAM is really 2pm for our players.  That's a tough time to start.  Will our guys be able to be at max awake and max alert by 2pm?
Kickoff is 4pm Hamilton time; 3pm in Winnipeg.

Why is 2 pm a tough start? Most of these guys all played big college games and those are mostly afternoon games. Most NFL starts are noon.

I watched all the interviews on both WPG and SSK sites leading up to, and after the BB.  Press guys brought it up I think in a couple of them and a couple of players (maybe MOS too?) expressed how a 3pm game like the BB is tougher because they are so accustomed (for 14 weeks now!) of playing at 7:30pm(ish).

So that's straight from the players' (and maybe HCs') mouth.  Sorry I don't remember precisely who said what, but I guarantee they said it.  If required I can rewatch the whole pile and get the info.

Kickoff will be 3 pm Manitoba time. Probably closer to 3:12 with all the garbage before the game. I think our players will be okay.

Ah, indeed you are correct!  So 4pm HAM time, eh?  Still, 3 is much earlier than 7:30.

This could be a trap game. After a massive win before the bye week against a non divisional weaker opponent.
Championship teams shouldn't have trap games.
