Just an awful kickoff time for this one.  3pm HAM is really 2pm for our players.  That's a tough time to start.  Will our guys be able to be at max awake and max alert by 2pm?

It's not the first time they going to do this. There's no excuse.

Milanovich was a great move for HAM.  I've been saying since 2019 GC that Condell wasn't good.  He latches onto concepts that he just can't shake, and doesn't match his O to his QB's capabilities.  A bit like Maas that way.

As much as I bug Dickenson The Greater, he's superb at changing his O to match what his QB can do.

Zach actually credited Condell recently for being the one coach who invested the time to help him understand the CFL game fully.  If Buck leaves in the off-season for a HC position, don't be too surprised if Condell replaces him if Zach has any say in the matter.

Ugh!  Please Lord noooooooo!

I'm fine with whatever Condell accomplished in his past, but he is a major reason why HAM didn't win those 2 cups.  He had the impenetrable max-pro going in '19 that we had no answer for in-season, and then come GC day he completely drops it... and doesn't bring it back for a halftime adjustment!

And he always wanted to force the ball deep even when it wasn't working or the QB was facing too much pressure.  And he abandoned the run way too fast: never took it seriously to begin with.

In one of those sense Condell would do well here (loves deep balls), but in the other he is the worst fit ever (only pays lip service to the run).  No way MOS/KW hire a guy who doesn't put the run first.  Sorry, not happening.

I'd rather have McAdoo.... or Lapo if he's still on the TSN panel.  Lapo has always been a great fit here.

Besides, no way Buck leaves for 2024.  He's really not HC material IMHO.  He's too soft spoken and a bit of a savant.  I think he'd make a worse HC than Lapo.  Not an insult to Buck, he is what he is.  And he's proven a great OC, so just ask for a raise and don't rock the boat.  Maybe just maybe he could be an in-house replacement for MOS if that ever happens before 2050.  He'll still have his limitations, but he'd be firmly ingrained in the culture and locker room, it just might work.

I bet they like the early start. They practice 11ish our time, 3x a week or so. The waiting is the worst. I would would wake up wanting to play. I think playing a night game in BC is the worst time. That's late night here before it's over.

Why is 2 pm a tough start? Most of these guys all played big college games and those are mostly afternoon games. Most NFL starts are noon.

I don?t know if Buck being soft-spoken matters. What matter IMHO is how effectively he communicates with his players. I think he?s earned the respect of the offence, and those are veteran guys. I think he?d be a good head coach. Just not sure he?d want to leave a great thing here, not to mention his family ties to Winnipeg.

I think all of the head coaches in the CFL are soft spoken? (except maybe Maas). I think you want the more fiery guys for assistants. Even then you want them to dial it down if they're an OC or if they become an HC.

What are our and Hammy's practice schedules-injury reports?

Our schedule appears to be pretty nice for the guys, even without a bye we had a good break before the LD Rider game a full week between the Banjo and now another full week to the Hammy game followed up with a bye. before the next game.

Kickoff will be 3 pm Manitoba time. Probably closer to 3:12 with all the garbage before the game. I think our players will be okay.

It's not tough at all. They're professional athletes.

I think Buck is HC in waiting here, and has been told as much. Much like Dickenson in Calgary, I don't think he is going anywhere.

How would that work? O'Shea to GM, Buck to HC and Walters somewhere else?

Hard to say but if I were a betting man, I'd say Buck to HC, O'Shea to GM, and Walters to Bomber prez.

If Walters ever leaves, its to Guelph...

Not sure Osh wants to GM...

Regardless, they ALL have decades left in them, as long as the passion is there.  And how could it not be, in these environs.
