Dru Brown is a gamer. I knew it was only a matter of time until Collaros got hurt, and man has brown ever proven doubters wrong. Who cares about piggies, Brown is our guy 100%!!

Slow the roll a bit...Edmonton is another level of bad

Not guaranteed yet, but looking very much like a win, and that would make this a comeback for the ages.

I'm so proud of our O, and Brady and Dru.

And our D for adjusting at the half.

Not guaranteed heard it all today

Nah Brown looks exceptional.

He is calm.  Disguised the run well.  Throws good short, med. And deep ball.

Great promise.

Haha, I admit Dru was better than 25%.  I think he shocked the entire league tonight, looking like he might be ready for primetime.

And we didn't run it much when the game was on the line.  In any event, EDM worst run D couldn't stop our run when they had to.  So that's less of a strategy call than a failure to execute by EDM.

I'll stand by having a spy.  How many yards for Ford?  Just see what teams who employ a spy have done to Crum vs what we did.  Same with Ford: teams will employ a spy.  MOS seems to hate spies as some kind of hill to die on.

So I'll eat half a pie of crow.  Well, maybe 2/3rds.

No no, they had +22 and 100% of the momo.  This is massive legit statement comeback by WPG with the backup QB in.  You better believe this took everything our guys had in the tank to pull out.  Game was in the balance going into the 4th.

Seriously, it was an amazing display of fortitude for our guys not to fold.  O stepped up to carry the day and help our whiffy D out.  This was Bomber ball at its best to adjust to the situation and do what we should have done in the OTT game.

Really enjoy reading your posts, particularly the analysis on the plays and schemes (especially during the game itself!). But it's going to take you a while to live this one down. :P  :D

Give the guy a bit of credit. The guy came into a 22-0 ball game. Our offense was stinking the joint out, just gave up a pick 6 and he had to go out and get some momentum going for us and not only did just that but he put up over 300 yards passing and threw for 4 touchdowns. I don?t care who we were playimg  against that?s a very very decent debut into prime time and he proved that he can lead us out of darkness and into the light. Game ball goes to Brown hands down.

Yup, it clearly was slowing down for Dru.  You don't thread those needles and make those reads and avoid those sacks if you're not feeling it.

Remember, this was the D that was giving Zach blanket coverage and tons tons of pressure.  That was a legit D when Zach was on the field.

The funny thing is, do we still win if Zach didn't get hurt?  EDM had a great plan specifically to stop Zach.  It was working.  Dru comes in and no one knows what to do against the guy.  He starts picking them apart and they were directionless.  They stopped blitzing an they go bit line-loading.

Dru Brown quite simply saved the game for us. So cool and composed. That?s leadership.

Haha, ok, I'll eat the whole pie.  I had faith in Dru to be able to win some games if called on, but I didn't think he was going to light it up in a tough spot like this.  Why?  Because that's all we've seen before.  Jeez, how many times does the #1 get hurt and the unproven #2 comes in and gets 22+ points back when they have zero momentum?  I'd have to think hard about that one...

I think the fortitude comes in the belief from their head coach that they can get it done despite being down. MOS half time interview he more or less said we ve been down before and we?ll fight our way back, we ve done it befor, he had that calmness and confidence even though he was down a ton that we were going to get it done and he as right. Great to see that leadership vs how many times you?ve heard a head coach just rip 8nto his team in the half time interview and focus on the negative ( we re playing bad, missing tackles not making plays etc) where all he did was calmly say we ll battle back, we ve done it before. That?s what separates the winners from losers-don?t focus on what?s happens, focus your energy into what?s about to happen!! Well done coach OShea!!
