If you/someone re-watches the game perhaps you/they can confirm something for me if someone doesn't mind doing the work....

I was really concerned with Bennet as the only rotation at end and the Jeffs getting "gassed" but it seemed like we had Mauro, Biggie, Briggs, Walker, Bennet, possibly even Jackson all seemingly rotating at the edge, or in some version of an edge. Maybe it was the post game tequila clouding my memory but somehow it seemed we had a rotation by committee more so though I have noticed in the past?

I just finished re-watching the game. Yes we did rotate players on defence in Q4 essentially by committee. It was Cole that forced the incomplete pass on 3rd down, not Jackson.  But Jackson, Maruo, Briggs also saw snaps. Bennett seemed to play more later in the game as well.

It's easier to do that with a huge lead. Taking out the vets and letting the back ups get decent game time. Getting Brown and O-Leary-Orange into the game on offence as well.

I think Bennet is starting to get a feel for the CFL game as well.
He might take a little longer to blossom than some people are willing to wait for.
Betts is having a massive breakout season at 28 years old. I have hope that he can turn into a difference maker on defence.

People have completely unrealistic expectations. The fact that he's regularly in rotation in year one is success in and of itself.

That's by default. If we had a DL as a DI and / or Hansen back then he might see very few snaps.

He may have a future so I'm not discounting him. OTOH, your comment on him is not exactly a basis to make any great analysis. Briggs is getting snaps on defence as well. I'd just as soon as he is delegated to ST's. Losing Gauthier increased his defensive snaps.

Our rotation on D is our strength.  Bennett looks just fine.  Those that have been hard on this season are wrong.  They need to see the forest through the trees.

The starting lineup yesterday is as strong as we have had for a number of years.  Let them gel and can't touch this group.  Hall called a great game.  Nice time to be Bomber fan boy.

...I guess dressing an extra full back and some linebackers ended up being okay.
worked out great

Bennett didn't beat anyone out to earn his job, it was given by default.  I'd prefer to see an impact player in his place rather than a placeholder till someone else comes along that can step up.  Don't mind to see him develop into something more on the PR.

No one makes a professional football team by default. Plenty late first round picks are pretty much special teams players and cut by year two or three. You vary rarely see anything more than a rotational player in the first year after CIS football at any position.

What was the attendance yesterday? Just under a sellout?

There's not another DE on the roster. He is absolutely there by default.
My wife is amazing!

There isn't another place kicker on the roster. Is Castillo there by default?

We barely have another Canadian on the PR due to large numbers of injuries.

I don't think Bennet doesn't deserve to be on the team, I just think he could have used more PR time and time slowly being worked in opposed to being put in "by default" as he is the only guy healthy.

At the end of the day, maybe it helps him in the long run?? Habba was a better, but got hurt maybe Garbut surpasses him a couple weeks. Again it's not that he doesn't belong IMO but I think we should have a better player or at least another end to rotate seeing as Hanson doesn't appear to be coming back any time soon.

Thanks I am curious to see if we do some of those style/personnel fronts in the "meat" of upcoming games?

You can't compare a place kicker to DE....go around the league and look how many DE's on each roster and then compare it to how many kickers are on each roster
