I know Winnipeg is a walk up city but tons of tickets for most games. Banjo Bowl still has some available.

peg_city

Banjo Bowl usually doesn't sell out until week of the game (last year was an exception). There only appears to be 1000-2000 tickets left (last I looked).

Attendance thread has shown up early this year.

;)
Money is no object...especially when you have none.

We're doing pretty good.

I think there's just a lack of buzz around some of these games because most teams are so bad.
My wife is amazing!

Last game was a weak crowd.

Agree with this.  Hard to get excited or hype crappy opponents.
But the lose to BC should help with attendance for the redemption match with them on Aug 3rd.

I don't believe you can make the statement without backing it up with facts (I however have no facts as well LOL).  I am interested in anyone has information on that or wants to chime in.  The weekend games are subject to reduced attendance from folks going to the cabin, camping, etc.

I find sometimes weekend games have good announced attendance but a little thin in reality.

I don't have a strong preference for which days game are on, rather would like it based on attendance figures and TV numbers.

Folk fest is on so that might hurt us a bit tomorrow.

That could be because many of the cottagers also have STHs (falls into the same demographic). So for a weekend game, ticket sales look great because you have your STH base + a large casual crowd who are going as something to do on the weekend, but a chunk of the STHers are physically missing from their seats because they choose to be at the lake. Whereas the casual/walk up crowds are lesser on Thursdays because of work the next day and the STH cottagers make it a priority because it's ideal for them.

I also say all this without providing facts lmao

Anyone else annoyed by the lack of Saturday games in the summer?

We are home to over 100,000 lakes including Lake Winnipeg, Lake Manitoba and Lake Winnipegosis and surface water covers approximately 16 percent of the province. Not to mention LOW. Can't compete with this.

EDIT: Was responding to the question of why no Saturday games.

Yes, Yes they can that excuse is overrated. Are you a Bomber fan or a cabin lifer. Make your mind up.

Not an excuse. It?s a fact. Cottagers don?t go to Saturday games.
And a wise business decision not to schedule Saturday games in the summer.

I?m a Bomber for Life and it doesn?t bother me.
