Castillo was just released by the Esks. Hoping he was not released for NFL gig.
But Walters need to scoop him up asap.

Will save the Bombers a lot of time looking for new kicker.

I mentioned we should call his agent. However, I think he will be expensive. He missed 3 of 25 converts which was worst than Liegghio missing 5 of 56.  His K/O's were also shorter.

By about 2% but you'd have to analyze specifics. With or without the wind. Weather and field conditions. Which ones were missed, by how much and why?

Regardless, good addition. Not quite sure what the end result will be. Could be added as a DI in a dual kicker on the roster.

Expect pink slips for a couple of the rookies going to rookie camp next week. Can't have 8 kickers in the main camp.

Could be right, we may be using an import at kicker ie Castillo so it has to come from somewhere

If we have the $$, it's the smart play.  I'm not sure he's a shoe-in for K though.  I think they want big TC competition.  I would wager in week 1 Castillo is the starting K.  But if he doesn't prove substantially better than Leggs, I don't see how we keep wasting a DI spot on a just-a-K.

No matter what, I'd think we keep Leggs around for quite a while... unless Castillo is lights-out great and we field a superb GLOB P.  Even then, what do you lose by keeping him on PR.

Interesting developments.  KW always surprises me.
