Is he still in the NHL?

seems like the type of player that will have a sleepy season then in the playoffs come alive with a couple of timely game winning goals.

He used to be a great player before he signed that massive contract.  Now I never seem to hear his name anymore.

I'm also concerned about Trouba.  I'm not convinced he's fine and will be ready to go game 1.

Maybe if we rewind to a few years ago. His best days are behind him, IMO. He was pretty ineffective last year.

Zach Parise was never the same player with the Wild as he was with Jersey.

Yep, and he's still got 7 years at $7.5 million per season left on that contract, after this season  :o

One of the worst NHL contracts in recent memory besides Rick DiPietro.

Andrew Ladd's current contract is up there too.

I agree. Probably a tough adjustment to go from playing with Kovalchuk, Zajac, and Henrique to Koivu, Coyle, and Pominville.

Anyway, some interesting predictions for the playoffs: http://moneypuck.com/predictions.htm

So, we have statistically the best chance at winning the cup! I know the whiteout will be fun, but given this new data, maybe we shouldn't bother playing the games and they can just hand over the cup now!

Soucy officially recalled. Very likely second pair D to start series for #mnwild

LOL :D

The numbers look nice and all and going 9-1 in their last 10 certainly helps their cause, but it's time for the team to show if those numbers actually bear out. The Wild will be a good test and a solid opponent.
