Now you are just being silly - you don?t rest players in a playoff...not even the same as meaningless regular season game.   Maurice gambled and won - took a risk and it paid off.

Who wins the tie breaker between Winnipeg and Boston if they win?

All playoff teams played their startes dude. Unless the player has a small tweek. Like Trouba.

I suppose by that logic, Babcock, Trotz, Boudreau, and Stevens all did the same yesterday.

And why does that tie breaker matter?

Probably only matters if we meet Boston in the Stanley Cup finals, winner would get home ice advantage.

Columbus sat out 9 regulars in their last game.

Ah, okay. Interesting question when you look at the tiebreaker rules:

1. PPG %
2. ROW (regular/overtime wins)
3. points earned in the season series
4. GF/GA differential

If I understand the format correctly, and with the Bruins playing tonight, they would have to win in regulation by two or more goals to take second place overall. If the Bruins win in regulation by a single goal or win in overtime, they tie with the Jets for second. If the Bruins win in a SO, they finish third overall.

UPDATE: Bruins lost, so the Jets finish second overall. Home ice advantage in every situation except if they were to face the Predators in the second round.

Wow.

2nd in the league.

Chevy is going to hate drafting that low ;).  Oh well.

So, every series to only 5 games, 6 games if we face the preds.  3 home games per series...
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

Got tickets to game 1 on Wednesday!  Whiteout!!!!!!!

Honestly, I hope this series goes to game 5 or 6. If the Jets win, I don?t want them sitting idle for too long waiting for other series to wrap up. I?m starting to get more nervous about playing Min. It should be a tight series. Bring on the whiteout!

Yes, my one concern is all the young guys we have and their lack of playoff experience. It's really a different game in the playoffs.

That's you your biggest worry??  I am just sick about them losing this first round  If we can sweep them (which I don't think will happen) it will be great.  Less playoff style pounding on the bodies.  I think this is going to be a really tough series.

I have a feeling we will all be hating the name "Parise" by the time the next couple of weeks are over.

My expectation is 5 or 6 games. I can't see a sweep happening.

And my bigger concern is Staal. He's hands down the Wild's MVP this season.

One of the best free agent signings in recent memory.
