missed on that one - he is off to Columbus...and I use "miss" loosely - not even sure if we wanted him.

I'd think the price for Johnson would be higher than Chevy wants to pay.

The Winnipeg Jets have acquired forward Paul Stastny from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for a first-round pick in the 2018 NHL Draft, forward Erik Foley and a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft.

ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has acquired a conditional first round pick in 2018, a conditional fourth round pick in 2020 and forward Erik Foley from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for forward Paul Stastny.

Foley, 20, was drafted 78th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in 2015. The 6-foot, 185-pound forward has dressed in 32 games for Providence College this season, posting 34 points (15 goals, 19 assists) and 14 penalty minutes. Overall, the Mansfield, Massachusetts native has collected 87 points (37 goals, 50 assists) in 104 career games for Providence.

In international competition, Foley captured a gold medal with the United States along with Blues forward Tage Thompson at the 2017 World Junior Championships.

Stastny, 32, has dressed in 63 games for the Blues this season, posting 40 points (12 goals, 28 assists) and 14 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 193-pound forward is a veteran of 12 NHL seasons, including stints with Colorado and St. Louis. Overall, Stastny has accumulated 633 points (216 goals, 417 assists) and 380 penalty minutes in 805 career NHL regular season games.

Paul Stastny is a pending UFA. The #stlblues retain 50% of his remaining salary.
