I thought Carolina had a very good chance of making it this far. This team is just so solid.

Vegas is a very good team. I figured they would get to the Western final. Goaltending has been excellent for them.

Seattle like Florida are a surprise.

They should be. They were gifted a top team from the get-go and now get to take advantage of LTIR loopholes like the Lightning did. That's garbage.

And yes, I'll admit I'm crusty. I can't stand a six-year old franchise that's never really struggled, only missed the playoffs once (by all of three points), and will now play in its third conference final.

I'm willing to be more understanding with the Kraken. The expansion rules were changed for them compared to what was allowed to happen with the Vegas Expansion Draft back in 2017.

The Kraken did struggle in their inaugural season and didn't make the playoffs (finished with only 60 points) but the fans still showed up and it became evident the market there works. Their second season was a step in the right direction with a playoff berth and winning a round.

The Garbage Knights are wholly different animal, IMO. I despise that franchise with the fire of a thousand burning suns.
