Might as well.  No point playing anymore.  Tryout time for new scouting finds.

Interestingly, Grant had a super garbage season.  Who would have guessed Vaval would have had more TDs, eh?
Never go full Johnston!

Battle on with the Argos for the 1st overall pick in next year's CFL draft!

Brown is healthy, why would they do this if there is nothing to gain or protect?  I realize the trade deadline has passed but Walters  needs to figure out how to get Brown back in blue and gold in the off-season, he is their best hope at a smooth QB transition.  Past relationships give him a significant leg up on his competition.

They need to further evaluate the other QB's on their roster. They also don't want to risk Brown playing and getting injured when their fate has been decided.

Arbuckle got injured last week but at least he was still fighting to get his team in the playoffs. It only takes one hit to create a longer term injury. Ask Kelly or Alexander among others.

My only guess is Dru is done in OTT... or he still has some brain injury lingering.  Otherwise, why give Crum all the live reps if Dru is still your guy?

As for Dru here: I'm starting to think Dru is the next Jennings, Franklin or Arbuckle: looked like a legit #1 when injury-spelling on a top team; can't break .500 when made a franchise #1.

I'm pretty sure Dru isn't our answer going forward, unless as a 1 year stopgap or something until we can snag Alexander.

That's pretty harsh. The Redblacks are a bad team. He completed 75% of his passes against us and just over 400 Yards. Yes he threw 2 ints but I hardly think he was the reason for them losing.

That's just 1 game.  Look at all his games these last 2 years, when he hasn't been in the tub... Maybe 2-3 were what you'd call "good"?  Jennings was better in his first 15 stars.

This isn't like this is a new thing in the CFL.  Maybe 66% that look like legit guys turn out to be duds.

Maybe he's just in the wrong place. We are never snagging Alexander, you need to let that go. Montreal is committed to him.

I think Crum is going to continue to develop and grow as a Qb, he's looked decent as a #2 Qb this season, do these extra games allow him to grow into. Crum isn't the gun slinger Brown is, but he doesn't turn the ball over as much as Brown either. I am really interested to see how he fairs and he may be our #2 Qb next year and with another year of development, maybe grows into our #1

Again. The Redblacks are not and have not been a good football team. You want to put that on Brown, that's your opinion. I'll be surprised if they choose to trade him next year. If they do, I'd welcome him back in Winnipeg.

If you follow the NFL... there are four or five quarterbacks right now who did poorly until they got good coaching, and then thrived.

Qb coaching, really matters.

  Dinwiddie, Milanovitch......

Not sure what our coaches do in the way of helping the QB.

I always cheer for Crum because he's an underdog and he's become a pretty efficient #2 QB, but hard to believe the RB's would ever try to sell him as their next great QB in what surely must be a rebuilding year. I don't know what they plan to do, but that shouldn't be in the top 10 of good ideas if they hope to retain their fanbase.
