Same here.  I thought it looked bad, even a season-ender?  CGY may be eyeing '26 with this move.  That would explain the cheap price.

However, everything may be going on fire sale in OTT soon!  Who do *we* want for next season or a GC run?

Mauldins stats are crazy, he had one good year in '22 with 17 sacks, the other years the most he had was 8 and this year only 2.
Feels like he cashed in on the one year though

Ya, but he's been in Ottawa, playing for the Deadblacks....there can't be a happier player in the league than Mauldin right now, goes from a perennial basement dweller to contender with a shot to win it all. Good on him.

Wonder what GM Sean Burke is aiming to achieve with all these deletions?  Are they about to airlift in a ton of new players for 2026 tryouts?  Everybody should be nervous including Bob Dyce and Burke, Dru Brown must be having second thoughts about the future, anyone know his contract status?

I don't think any of this is significant. PR players mostly with the exception of the Maudlin trade but even that was MEH.

Eley was only a 2nd year player and already on their PR. Probably an ELC player that wasn't depth needed.
