I don't know if I'd make that argument for all of them.
My wife is amazing!

It's just speculation on my part, to be clear.

It's going to be a long off-season.

Not to be confused with Keyshawn Johnson...
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

I guess Dru didn't want his showing him up in preseason again...

Just kidding.

Maybe Masoli is closer to playing...

Still cheering for Piggie, hopefully someone will pick him up as a 3rd string QB, as he'll still be on an ELC contract competing with unknown rookies.

I don't know.  I think it was more of OTT really not needing a guy like that on the roster now that they've signed Dru.  (And is Caleb still there?)

Piggy's a bit of an enigma.  He seemed to be the most promising of all the rookies that year yet he lost his job here basically on snap #1.  I'm thinking there's got to be more to it than just blowing 2 sneaks.  There must be something attitude-wise to be blown out of the Bombers that fast... the whole FIFO thing, or not fitting in with the ethic MOS wants to see.  I have absolutely nothing to base that on, though, it's just a matter of answering the unanswered questions.

But he may still fit somewhere else.  We'll see what the 2024 crop of rookie QBs look like.  If no one shines like he did in PS, then Piggy may get another chance at 3rd/dev slot somewhere (likely not here... but you never know).
Never go full Johnston!

Related events, Pigrome was cut when they announced Prukop agreed to sign.  He came back cheap, fit in well with the guys in the QB room, already knew the playbook and was effective in his role. With Pigrome the entire season would have been a learning experience to see if he fit in as well as Prukop. They chose the "Easy Button" in this case.

Looks like free agency is pretty much over, all teams have spent their budget and a lot of veteran players have been left out in the cold.  There may be a few random signings as teams get closer to training camp and discover players coming off injury won't be ready to go, or choose to retire instead of train.  Hopefully the Bombers can get Grant inked, but not expecting much more to happen.

It looks like CFL.ca has not been updating their F.A. list recently, so it's hard to say who exactly is still available.

Ya, CFL FA24 page is been slow on the updates for weeks.

Yes, we've entered the FA phase where the guys who want to play but are on the couch start looking at lowball offers.  Especially the aging guys.  If a team has kept some powder dry they can score some great deals on some older gambles.

As for Janarion, I have this feeling we'll sign him still.  I have no idea what they are all waiting for.  He won't go for ELC, as I'm sure other teams would happily pay that and more.  But clearly no one wants to pay his ask, which might be somewhat hefty.  Whatever Alford got might be a hint as to Grant's $$, assuming SSK didn't way overpay again.
