Good to see Ritchie "drinking the good water". Ritchie was one of my favorite Bomber coaches of all time. He really got a raw deal when he was let go. His release led to a series of bad seasons that followed his dismissal.

to be honest his last year as coach of the Bombers and as much as I admired him....the team was on the way down.   I went with my daughter to a Bomber/Edmonton game when I lived in Slave Lake AB and we were completely blown out in that game.   Jason Maas broke a record in that game completing 23 consecutive passes....it was brutal and we had no answer.   Dave was canned that season followed by successive seasons of poor teams and bad management.   What I loved about Dave was that he truly cared about his players.   Before the game he went up to each and every player and shook their hand.....something MOS does as well!

As a young season ticket holder Dave Richie represents the hope and spectacle of being a very competitive team in the CFL. Of course he was a wildly entertaining interview as well. I met him in person a few times always very friendly and considerate. I agree with Linc really went down quick in his last year.

My favorite coach of all time.  MOS is the best in my opinion but Dave was magic.

Dave Richie. One of my all-time favorite bomber coaches. Right up there with Cal Murphy. Perfect mix of a hard *** coach with a heart of gold.

What a super interview with Milt Stegal. The mutual respect was obvious and well deserved. Highlight of the game for me. Since our defense took the day off.

Coach looked frail but I guess heck he?s 84, where did the time go......

the interview with Coach Dave and Milt made for such a great moment of the day.   How can you not smile during that.  When he kissed his hand at the end.   Such a special moment.  When Milt explained the importance of a 'family' atmosphere was compared to just a team/locker room  and how Coach Dave gave that to them   amazing.

that interview gave me a little kick. Those coach Ritchie teams were dynamite to watch! Cherished times!

Dave Ritchie used to have the whole team over for Thanksgiving dinner every year he was coach here. That is the kind of thing that makes a player want to go through a wall for his coach. Congratulations Dave you deserve this honour.

It was only fitting that Milt gave that interview. The love and respect between the 2 still after so many years shows what a great coach and human being Dave is. It's a well deserved honor for my favorite Bomber coach.
