Success rate of acl surgery varies depending on the source you trust but 10%, or maybe 5% if done and rehabbed expertly, fail.  This surprised me. A year off will be needed I am sure. That means the whole of 2026.

Ya, the timing isn't great for Schoen.  Sometimes they take only 9-12 months, meaning he could be back by maybe July next season.  But maybe rushing back too soon last time is what caused this re-injury?

Did we get him for 2yr, meaning we have him for '26?  So do we cut him in off-season?  A bit harsh, but, even if SMS-relieved, it's still wasted real money.  Plus, we'd have to make sure he doesn't get any winter bonus.  Everything has to be structured to be 6GIR-relieved.
