there is no barely healed at this time of year. You can either play or you can not. There is no next week when I feel better. MOS put the best player in.

In this one aspect, MOS hasn't exactly earned the benefit of the doubt.

We all remember a hobbled Bighill and Schoen in the Cup last year, but even during this season, we have multiple examples of players starting in games after an absence (without practicing) and getting immediately injured again. Or being GTD with no replacement and playing a man short.

It's a fair question at this point.
My wife is amazing!

Got to shake Harris up with plenty of heat coming thru the gaps. More blitzes needed while conversely our Oline will be besieged as is the Roughies style

Hustle and muscle boys and good luck

Massive amount of roster transactions on CFL.CA. Many players deleted outright from PR. Others from 1 game IR or AR moved to PR including Cole, Bridges, Woods, Samson and Adams.

OTOH, a couple moved from PR to 1 game IR. Woli moved from 6 game IR to 1 game IR.

Very confusing but I'd guess those moved to 1 game IR they want in TC and those deleted or moved to PR are in a TBD status.

Defensively We are set up to stop the pass.... offensively they are setting up to run the ball.

Armstead ran for nearly 200 yds against stampeders.

"The Saskatchewan Roughriders' newly-acquired running back, Ryquell Armstead, ran all over the Calgary Stampeders this past week, recording 25 carries for 207 yards.

The frequency with which Calgary used three-man fronts early on seems to indicate they didn't expect Saskatchewan to come at them on the ground. The Roughriders routinely drove Calgary's defensive line off the ball with double-teams and effectively reached the next level. By my tracking, Armstead logged 100 yards before contact.

Quote from: Blue In BC on November 08, 2024, 04:08:06 PMI like what Taylor could bring to the defence but I expected it would be him or Alexander. This is not a complaint but disappointed we couldn't keep Cole on the AR. That's just a factor of the ratio compliance.

But aren't we starting 8 Cdns and only need 7?

More on the game as information becomes available.  In the meantime, let's go Bombers!!!
Look at O'Shea's eyes! Oh man, is he ever dialed in. I bet he wants to put on the pads and get out on that field and hit a few Riders himself.
Go Bombers!

You're the first person to really point this out.  SSK is going to try to run for 200+ against us, mark my words.  They are going to be run-mostly.  Run on first, run on second.  Run run run.  Probably Armstead on 1st, Ouellette on short/mid.

When they don't run it'll be play action / RPO and the ol' 7Y curl and slant, or the wide out last-read.

They will do this until we stuff them enough.  And by stuff I mean make sure they don't get in the EZ.  We'll probably give up a lot of FGs.

I trust Younger/Hall to have a plan to contain the run, because they must know all of the above.  They'll still rush 3 on 2nd down, but we need to have guys who keep those RBs to around 5Y, not 20.

SSK will get a lot of good runs.  I expect 2 20Y+, 5 10Y, etc.  But we'll also stuff them for 1-3 some times on 1st.

If we hold them to 125Y combined run yards from the RBs, I'd call that success and we'll probably win.  Over 200Y and our O will have to produce similarly.

As long as that #22 bleepitybleep isn't line-judging our game, I'm happy.  Kroeker is one of the better ones.

Quote from: markf on November 08, 2024, 05:43:50 PMCole was a force, made a lot of plays last few games. He is on the one game injured list.

Is Cole dinged up?

This whole chart & GTD thing for Kyrie might be a ruse.  If Cole was good, why do you roster Ayers instead of Cole?  What does make sense is if you are 80% sure Kyrie won't play, you fool SSK by keeping Cole off the chart and then subbing him in at the last moment.  That's my guess.
