In case you missed it post game this is what the coach said.  He also said this is not the case everywhere and the players know it.

Last night was great. The noise was from the huddle to the snap.  Not just when BC lined up.

I thought VAJ?s he?d was going to pop as he squeezed his helmet so tight!

The fans definitely did their part in a defensive extravaganza put on by the Blue Bombers.

Thank you for the great night fellow Bomber fans.

Feeling is mutual tiger. The crowd was most certainly a factor!

Glorious night at the park.

Peg fans are undeniably the best, most loyal AND loudest fans in the CFL.   What other CFL team has 5 consecutive sellouts?   The fans were loud and proud and definitely had an impact on the game.....the players and coaches are genuinely appreciative of their fans.

There was all this media hype about the fantastic numbers at BMO field which has a capacity of 30,991.    The official attendance was 26,200 well under full capacity whereas IGF has been sold out in the last 5 consecutive games!   Toronto has a population of over 3 times that of Winnipeg and when was the last time they ever had a sellout crowd for an Argos game?   Crickets

save your breath bellyaching over the media over-hyping toronto---don't you know its the centre of the universe?!?! Name one toronto sports franchise not over-hyped?? They all are, and they all suck!!!

I bailed with one minute left on the clock, to get a seat in the Pinnacle Club for post game appies, and paid the price.  Boot laces got tangled up as I shuffled down the aisle between the seats, and I did an epic faceplant, almost taking my head off with the railing.  Epic road rash of the knee, big bruise on teh other, shoulder and wrist jammed and back, well, 300lbs crashing and bouncing does not do a back good.

Not sure if every seat got the clappers, but it was a nice touch, you could clap with gloves on.  That and whistling added to the conflagration of cacophony.

Lots of painkillers today as I work, but that win really deadens the pain.  My Shaw was out during the live taping of the game, but I re-taped it in the overnight and re-watched it this morning before work, and man, we (the crowd) did make a huge difference.

Won't have that "home field" advantage next week, against a team on a 7 game win streak.  But I think we got this.

Friend and I were trying to guess how many were there in terms of butts in seats.  Lots of drone shots that made it look only half full.  Ground shots also showed every 3rd seat was empty.  He guessed 12k.  I'm guessing 15k?

What shocked me is BMO supposedly holds around 9k more than Donut Box?  Might make getting GC tickets a little interesting, unless no one in ON/QC want to go.  I always thought BMO and Tims were around the same capacity/size/design.

Sorry to hear that Aards!  Take it easy, eh.

As for "home field"... I'm kind of sad TOR didn't win because HAM fans would cheer for us over TOR and it would be a "home game" for us, except for the 1-2k MTL fans making the trip.  So the question is, do HAM fans hate MTL at all?  I don't think so, certainly not as much as they'll a) hate WPG for stealing their 2 cups, and b) pick the east over the west.

As such I think it will be very hostile in the GC, save for the 500 or so WPGers that make the trek, but that won't be enough to impact the noise levels.

It will not even be close to hostile. It?ll be a nothing crowd noise crowd. Most GC crowds are rather muted due to the mixed bag of fan allegiances. The GC in Regina was very against us because Riders fans are bloody turkeys. This years GC will be a pretty dead atmosphere during the game.

I don't know.  HAM fans are probably the 2nd or 3rd "best" fans in the league.  They know when to bring the noise and they are drunk and rowdy.

I'm thinking there's lots of them still sore at us from crying in the stands at the end of the '21 GC.  I probably would be if I were them!  I certainly grew a big hate-on for TOR after freezing in the stands in the '22 GC!

The vast majority of attendees will still be the home HAM crowd, and I can't spot any potential angle to believe they hate MTL.

The only "hostile" crowd at a GC I can remember was GC101 in Regina. And even that seemed subdued compared to what Rider Nation was capable of back then.

I can't see the crowd being a factor in GC110.

Mine did yesterday  :D :D  Tougher as I get older, and the cold really doesn't help in the yelling department.  I'm happy I can still keep up a sustained very loud booooooo for the full 20s clock though.

GC101 was also -30 so there was that as well. I agree the crowd will be a 100% non factor for either team.
