I'm going to the cup, Bluehawk!  Maybe I'll see ya there.  Found some very affordable travel options and got the all-important Wife Approval.  It'll be me and the kid once again, our 3rd GC together.

For those who want to go, there are cheaper-ish flight options and hotel options if you're willing to drive a tiny little bit into HAM.  I had enough airmiles once again to make it mostly "free".  Seems the only time I use these things is for CFL trips nowadays  :D

We need WPG to represent as I get the feeling there won't be a whole heck of a lot of us.  So we'll be there in blue making a lot of noise, even if we're the only ones in our section.

Now... to time the game tix purchase for optimal value... prices are still falling...

Great News!!
Make sure you keep track of tickets on FansFirst...best prices over there.
For sure, lets connect when we are there.
Will send you a pm.

That is surprising. Thought they had every year regardless if we are in it or not. They did in Regina last year which was amazing to say the least.

Heard there wasn't space made available but that was second hand.
Have done many touchdown Mb events and they are always awesome.
Hoping the Bomber house will be just as much fun and hoping there will be enough space given to the team.

Bonus for you  ;)  I hate posting from phone so for a few days there will be very few posts from me!  You guys will have to pick up my slack.  We're like 1/10th the volume of Riderfans posts here.  We need more, not less!

Nope, only posts from me will be when I have a moment in the mornings and at night before bed in the hotel.

I expect a really good, detailed GDT from all the fans not going!  I need good reading on my first PVR rewatch.

Having never gone to the festival things, I have no idea which things are good things to go to.  I also have no idea as to which things are family friendly.  For instance, would any potential TD MB be something you can bring a kid to?

What are the best things to take a kid to?

These things are like socials. Bars and a dance floor.

You do not like to drink beer?

Stamp pancake breakfast is tasty. The team things are usual just adult party fests. Hamilton and or CFL might have some family friendly things.

exactly What Jess said. It is party time! Bombers had ping pong tables and bean bag toss last year. Good drunken games.

But do they exclude kids/teens by law (like SSK does)?  It's one thing to maybe not want your kid around drunken swearing goofballs, another if they'll bar you from entering or arrest you for being there.  My kid is very mature for his age, and he can handle drunken swearing goofballs in a venue  :D  heck, he's used to that in our section @IGF every 2 weeks.  ;D ;D

You know I don't drink, Goldie... Doesn't mean I don't like to party!  But my son isn't old enough to be left alone in the hotel and these things are father-son only, so no wife coming to babysit.  I know I'm the very rare exception who travels with their kid for GC's (my dad never took me!), but it's kind of our annual ritual now and it means a lot to him.  He begs to go.

I always see the kid stuff like toboggan slides and games on the Saturday GC TSN shows.  That would be the type of thing we'd want to make sure to hit up.  It's just that the daily schedules don't indicate what might be kids-allowed vs kids-banned.

Thanks to everyone for the info!

I can't vouch for what is good but here is the official festival booklet. Lots of family stuff.

No I did not now that. I don?t read a lot of your posts so there is no way I would have known that.
