The Blue Bomber players eligible for the ROY award are here...

So Jackson or the punter then.  Tough choice.  And neither will win anything in the division.

Thanks for sharing. Cornish hits the nail on the head. Oliveira is a special talent and the team is fortunate to have him.

Yes, Oliveria is a top level player. The bonus is that he seems like a great team guy and person out in public. Can't ask for more. He has carried the team at times and is fun to watch him bulldoze opponents.

I thought so too....Brady is definitely in the MOP convo when someone like Cornish makes a public statement.   Also Muamba mentioned that Brady was worth of MOP recognition.....so yeah.   Not to take ANYTHING away from Zach who is our MVP and is the straw that stirs the Martini....yet Brady has been a mountain for us in so many ways!    It's a tough choice for sure and Zach's numbers are up there yet he has had more than his usual amount of picks.....many of them uncharacteristically rookie like.....so there's that.   Of course Brady has fumbled on occasion( he's not perfect ) yet he has been consistently good even when we lose.

It's amazing to think what would have been had Brady not broken his leg on his first play of his first real game.  I'm not even sure how that happens.  What a bizarre thing.  Good thing we didn't cut him in the next FA as an injury write-off.

On the bright side, it did delay the difficult choice between AH33 and BO20.

I'm forgetting, did we draft BO20 that year?  Nice pick.  So what teams got to pick ahead of this and let him slide?

That was a bizarre start to his career for sure and he commended on this earlier in the season yet there wasn't much hype about because well at the time we had AH33 and JA27 in our locker room.     The Bombers obviously saw something in Brady to offer both him and JA contracts before approaching AH33.    His first season started off on a rough note until around game 5 or 6 when he changed his approach to hitting the line and he's steadily improved ever since.    He talks about constant improvement and refinement of his game and the next thing will be his speed game.....which Jon Cornish commented on as his longest run from scrimmage is around 36 yards.    He has shown bursts from time to time and I'm sure he will work on this albeit he may have to drop some weight and bulk to tweak his style and yet not compromising his power.    Easier said than done however Brady will likely work on it to become the complete back.    I mean, he's the best in the league at the moment and I do recall a stellar running back Charles Blink Robert's who didn't have blinding speed and was often caught from behind....yet he still amassed a record that hasn't been broken by any Bomber RBs that followed him.  It will be interesting to see how he develops in his next few seasons nonetheless!!
For now he's already reached the status of MOC or possibly even MOP despite that being a long shot as Kelly is the darling of the CFL ATM!
