Sounds like the bombers are looking to expand the PR up by 5 players for 30 days a little earlier than usual.

They must like McGhee and after extending Lawrence on 6 game IR and adding Darby to 6 game IR, depth got thinner quickly.

Blackmon could be a candidate as a returner and swiss army knife sort of player. The downside would be does that mean Grant is still not ready?

Givhan was an OLB in college so he could be a DE or LB type in the CFL. Another guy that sounds quick.

I notice one of the players is a receiver/returner.....does this mean Grant isn't ready to play?

You beat me to the question.....he's missed virtually half the season or more.....when was he injured?   Was it game 3?

He was injured in game 5 and would have been eligible to come off 6 game IR last week. They mentioned he was running / working out in the end zone but not participating in practice per se.

Maybe he just needed another week. We'll see if he's extended on 6 game IR, moved to 1 game IR or to AR this week.

If some of our IR players are activated there will be more shuffling between AR and PR rosters. I don't think we had any injuries last week?

Watching his highlight tape on youtube doesn't get me excited about him at all.
He seems to play very weak competition and just isn't as fast or shifty as you hope for in a returner.

Im not sure bringing back  a guy weve already seen is benificial, has our scouting dept not  been able to find anyone else?

McGhee has been on the PR for awhile now, not sure if they deleted him and added him back or what.

Relying on Grant as the sole returner is risky, still half a season to go and they could lose him again, they need to find someone that can fill in for him on an emergency basis and perform well.  Cole the DB they had in training camp looked quite good in pre-season, maybe they can dig up Kevin Fogg!

Yes they deleted him earlier to maintain the PR roster limit. They might be looking for other DB's for the PR but he know the playbook more or less compared to a CFL rookie.

ADS would be next up if we have an injury.

Clearly our defence has to play better if we want to reach and win the Grey Cup again. I am sure B.C. Lions will devise a plan to try to beat us at the Western Final. Nothing is for sure in the CFL. Any team is capable of winning a game against their opponent if they are undersestimated.

What really loss the game for us I think against the Riders was the return game. Our special teams suck now basically.

McGhee #38 seems to cover well. He also has good speed.

Nah, they know what they are doing.  We have had a great track record of bringing in talent each year.  Familiar faces are safer bets, we know them, they know our system.

Wonder who is returning on Sat

Well there was only 2 guys returning punts today, so it's going to be one of them.
