no, however it's his second unsportsmanlike penalty....likely he's in MOS's doghouse

Good ol' TSN didn't show any replays, nor did they go find out what it was.

Ya, I have a feeling MOS is like the 2-strikes-your-out unsportsmanlike in-game rule.  If Cole isn't benched soon, for sure he is after one more.  MOS really touts his "ST speed" whenever asked, though.  I'd rather have The Seal(tm) in the game.

Good:
- Buck Peirce play-calling, wow

You said it.  Maybe his best game?  Stunk when Zach was in, but called exactly what Dru could do and do well once he was in.

Ugly:

- G** D*** Ealy and the stupid ***** of **** command centre for the dirty hit and cover up. I am livid over this. People need firing.

Tell us how you really feel Jesse!  ;)

I'm going to chalk that one up to a terrible play call.
Why blitz 11 guys and leave one reciever completely alone on an island???
Even blitzing 8 guys would do the same thing. I hope it was just a miscommunication, cause that was real ugly!

Because no team ever throws a hitch to the wide out guy when they have mega-max-pro.  Well, not unless the D forgets to cover him.  They sometimes throw a mid/deep rail pass on man coverage there.  But never a hitch.

It was very well executed and I guess the only thing you can do against this (besides tackle better), is keep a safety back a bit.

And that play isn't without risk: if we had film on that and Houston was expecting it, he could have covered the 5 yards for an inside INT in the time it took for the ball to arrive.

It was the most genius playcall by Jarius and I loved it, even though I hated it.  :D  He brought out all the tricks to try to get a statement win.  He goaded us into run-blitzing the whole game to that point, then when we bite he creams us.  I totally fell for it.  Lesson learned: defend that trick with an extra guy, or get hands up in the lane by the edge guys.

Yup, saw Biggie miss one last night. Not an easy play to make.
Remember the whiff on Crum on his game winning run. Whiffed there too. Biggie ain?t the same biggie we once knew

From what I saw, it was an after the play push in the back... I don't think he was in position to see that the play had ended, and I think the player slowed up in front of him... it did not look egregious, but we all know that when a ref sees something, they throw a flag...

He will get a talking to in film review...

You'd rather have Jackson, who essentially plays teams over a player who could actually contribute more? Go back and watch, he's not in that much on either offense or defense. Waste of a roster spot.

Cole smoked an Edmonton player from behind just as the play was coming to an end. It was a cheap play, you can play hard but hitting a guy from behind and pushing him to the ground is over the line

Jackson CAN come in in a large number of spots in a pinch.  He's not a rotational player, but a teams, special package player that can back up all over the field.  He will play FB on jumbo, he can sub in at DE/LB.  He is a Swiss Army knife and brings the "put me in coach" attitude, and is an inspiration/glue guy.  What guy do you have in mind that can "contribute more"?

Anyone that actually steps on the field would have been a better option.  I saw Jackson once on ST's. Didn't see him on offence even once but he might have been. Didn't see him on defence either.

Bombers seem to have some guys that don?t contribute much.

Jackson is one of those glue guys I guess.

Glue him to the PR for 2023. Ratio might be different going into 2024.

Biggie was caught flat-footed on a big Oullette TD and Kelly run in the GC, too.  He will not make the tackle 1-on-1 in space when he's a few yards away.  But he will get you in the hole or from the side or nab you if you're near him when you start your run.

The main thing with Biggie now is his speed is lower than it used to be.  But there are many big-sized MLBers that aren't there for speed either.  You want WILL and SAM to be fast, not necessarily MIKE.  It's not the end of the world for Biggie and I think we use him right and just need to scheme to not have Biggie 1-on-1 10 yards downfield.  In fact, it could be because we scheme Biggie dropping back so much that he seems to be bad at these stops when most MLBs would never be in that situation either.  You think Muamba is going to chase down a fast running QB either?

Cole doesn't seem to be contributing much more than Jackson.  TBH I don't see either making plays.  They are just there in trick schemes and garbage time, and the odd spell.  But, hey, they're first year depth guys so we can't expect too much.

The difference for me so far is penalties.  Jackson has been clean.  Then add in that Jackson can play both sides.  TBH what we really need to roster instead of either is more DL help.  Teams are still whacking us with the run.
