TBURGESS

BC's got the best defence in the league. I don't see us running them up and down the field. I do expect us to score more than the 6 points we did last time.

Last time, BC beat us at the LOS on both sides of the ball. We need to match their intensity this week.

We've got Lawler back. They've got Rhymes back.

I'm looking forward to a hard hitting, playoff style, close game.

OK, big game day decision.

What to eat.

Butter Chicken in the Pinnacle Club, gonna have to take a pass on that.  So now what?

Big W Burger looks disappointing, especially paired with kettle chips.

Haven't been to the tailgate area at the Stadium, are there any food carts out there worth trying?  I remember there were tacos and such in the past...

No Walby Burgers or Yard Dogs advertised...

Had Shawarma last game.

Concession listings menus are pretty m'eh...

What is a guy to do?  Eat at home beforehand?
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

Not much food carts at tail gate. Just party time.

My expectation for the game is that we play extremely well. Even if we lose, I want to see the fire, I want to see the OL come back and for the receivers to hold onto their targets, I want to see us being in the game and keeping it close.

Ideally, we wipe the floor with them and then ooooh boy would that fire us up. Unrealistic though since the Lions are very good so I'll settle for a very good game and squeaking out a W by whatever means. I want to see Zach with the ability to roll out and make a play every snap. And if Brady up the gut isn't working, just stop it and start throwing on first down and try again later after we can afford to risk first down.

If the Bombers lose this game with everything riding on the line, it will be time to take stock and begin the process of renewing the roster for the future, accepting they have been by-passed by other teams. Making excuses for poor performance will just delay the inevitable changes that need to be made.  Hopefully they take this game very seriously and come out with a top-rated performance as it will establish which team is currently the best in the West.

If we lose, we still gonna be the #2 in the West as Stamps, Riders and Elks will not be able to catch us.
Just to remind that we are not the #1 team in 2019. It's not how you started but how you finished.
That said.... GO BLUE!!!

No excuses tonight. O is healthy and ready to go. D is also healthy with some fresh players coming in. We are in our own barn, with a big loud crowd.

Get to Evans early and often. Rattle his cage. Ball control. Protect ZC8, no turnovers, beat there blitz. We will see if Buck learned anything from the last game.

Teams assess each players performance all season long. Let's say a DB is consistently beaten 30% of time that would be an example. Same thing with an OL. We don't know the play call, blocking or coverage on a given play other than what it looks like to fan. That may or may not be totally correct.

I don't think Bryant has lost it since last season. OTOH, if he gets beat easily and gives up 3 sacks, then you might have to take a look at Richmond as a choice. Unless he is enduring some sort of injury we don't know about.

I'm taking a ham and cheese sandwich & diet Pepsi on the bus with me to eat when I get there. $3.50 hotdog if I can find one. Minidonuts at half

BC stunk 2 years ago.  They kept most of the roster the same.  BC was great last year until Rourke got hurt, then they pretty much stunk again.  They kept most of the roster the same.  This season, BC, with iffy-VAJ and more-iffy Evans, are supposed to be world beaters?

Why?  Most of the talent is the same.  Tiny additions here and there, but also losses of superstars (Burnham).  BC looked horrifically bad against TOR, and I'm not sold on them either.

I think we're easily as good a team as BC and TOR, if not better.  BC's strength is in their coaching and playcalling, and morale and momentum.  Regarding coaching and playcalling, if our guys do their job, we can match that easily.  Did our guys do their job?  They didn't last time.  I expect they use this chance to get their reputation back.

BC does beat us in one regard: hunger.  Come playoff time that could be the deciding factor, but until then I'm convinced we can knock those west-coasters down a notch.

Off to IGF... GO BLUE.  Posters who are out of town or can't make it, give us some good play-by-play reading in this GDT to read on the at-home rewatch.  8)

You could be right, but premature IMO. Even if we lose, we're going to essentially ride this group to the playoffs where anything can happen. If we lose badly in the playoffs, then its time to reassess things.

The Bombers were not the #1 team in the West in 1984, yet they won the Grey Cup.

The Bombers were, by a wide margin, the #1 team in the entire league in 2001. They lost the Grey Cup.
