Good

Nice rebound from a previous bad game.
Dominance on the Oline and Dline
Willie Jefferson's game
Pressure on Fajardo
Run game

Bad

Allowed too much open space to Austin Mack
Explosion plays by Montreal

Ugly

Not so much

"You can't let praise or criticism get to you. It's a weakness to get caught up in either one." - John Wooden

Lincoln Locomotive

Good:

- not losing focus after a 2 hour delay
- Brady Olivera was an impact player
- our O-line helped amass 184 yards of rushing
- McCrae showed us his versatility and SPEED!
- Zach Collaros was on point most of the night
- Our D-Line pressuring Cody all night (JJ pressure helps WJ make plays)
- Stopping the Als run game ( our interior D-line were outstanding)
- Dalton Schoen with some outstanding play
- Alexander's pick near our goal line which ended up as a 14 point swing
- WJ was huge and made several key plays including that final strip
- Castillo is golden
- Woli had a fantastic game in front of his parents
- our D allowing only one FG
- ST keeping Chandler in check

Bad:

- the botched FG on the last play of the 1st half....almost resulted in a pick which would have been disastrous
- too many explosion plays through the air
- missing tackles on Fjardo resulting in big gainers and 1st downs for the Als
- Zach forcing the ball into triple coverage resulting in a pick when Brady was rolling for first downs
- Some untimely penalties (MOS) was visibly angry on some of them
- our punting was inconsistent

The Ugly:

- our punter trying to throw a pass on the botched FG after a bad snap which was nearly a pick six..yikes!!
- the game delay and the rain
- Janarion Grant being tackled by the hair on that missed FG.....he's a tough dude though

Nice bounce back game. Everyone was generally good.

Buck was excellent in calling the game we needed to match the conditions. Brady and McCrae were used perfectly. When the Oline and run game are rolling like that, I?d like to see smarter utilization of RBs more often to get McCraeCrae or JA opportunities to break one like McCrae did a couple of times. A thunder-lightning bruiser-waterbug combo would be fun to see more often.

If our tackling was cleaner - particularly on CoFaj - they wouldn?t have had a whiff of the endzone.

Yah, I don't see why they can't use Augustine to occasionally run the same plays McCrae did, although technically I suppose McCrae was lining up in Demski's position.

I wonder if Prukop will go back to holding just for situations such as this. At least it gives us a hope. Whoever Castillo likes is fine with me though, he's doing a fine job.

Good:
Win without Demski or Lawler.
No TD allowed, breaking their 2 game no TD streak.

Bad:
CBC headline: Blue Bombers storm past Alouettes.

Ugly:
Maas and Fajardo not really losing their cool but showing their emotions in a bad way. I'm sure we'll see more of this as the season goes on.  O'Shea coaches a guy up and pats him on the head after.

Could be good or ugly... Willy J got mugged on a play so bad that he was literally looking through his helmet earhole but he still managed to get pressure on Fajardo! Could've been ugly but turned out ok. My son and I had a good chuckle watching the replay!

Yes, I think that was Rice that grabbed his face mask. I can't believe the ref missed that.

Quick, hide the headsets and gatorade kegs!

P.S. Riderfans forum ripping Cody a new one every MTL game.  They hate that guy more than any of us WPG fans ever could.  Basically a bunch of "see, it was Cody's fault, we made a good decision".  They're not wholly wrong.

It would have been interesting to see Fajardo in a different system than back with Maas. Fajardo is a hard read. He was hurt pretty much all last year and the Rider offensive line was terrible. You can argue that Fajardo made them look worse than they were, which is probably true, but they weren't (and still aren't) a good unit either. Trevor Harris is a better fit for a bad oline, but just because he plays faster doesn't mean he's the better QB overall. He's always been fairly average and I don't see anything that has changed there.

It will be interesting to see how things play out. Fajardo's deep ball accuracy looks better this year now that he's healthy and he is the younger, far more athletic QB which over 18 games will help if you're strictly comparing Fajardo and Harris.

Every fan base wants to see their team made the right choice but I think the jury is still out in Saskatchewan regardless of their fans quick rush to judgement.

I have no hate for Faj...he is incredibly streaky though and makes mistakes at the absolute worst times  - very strong on his feet and seems very hard to bring down.  I wouldn't want him as the Bombers starting qb...speaking of that - imagine being the guy who has to follow Zach??

against BC he had his bucket ripped off and he got a penalty!!   Couldn't figure that one either?

The Good
Lawson's first game back and he had a carrer night!
Alexander with a really nice read to pick off Fajardo in the 4th quarter
McCrae plays that speedy-back/slot reciever spot so well
Schoen and Woli

The Bad
The non-call on Willie was rough
MTL contained our kick and punt returns really well

The Ugly
Nothing ugly from us...
