How do you keep this going? He is GM, HC, and DC.

He has no one else to blame or use as a scapegoat. This is his team and it is embarrassing.

That said, how do you fire and then hire that many coaching positions? It is an organizational failure that they hired one person to this many roles.

Elks proved they are the worst team in the CFL. I don't know if C. Jones survives the week but I think the trend of massive roster player changes happens again this week. He may have any choice to continue to find players that are willing to play for him.

Very good point Goldie - over the past years and as long as I can remember the Edmonton Front Office (GM etc.) has been top notch. Even if we despised their always winning Grey Cups! I am not sure what happened within the organization to bring it to its current status. IMHO I think their best option is to suck it up - send Jones packing - suffer the financial impacts and start over! I live in Calgary and do go up to Edmonton off and on for business and to catch a few games and I can tell you first hand that the attendance has deminished year over year for the past few years - time to admit your mistakes - take your lumps and start over!

Not true. He is on four consecutive one year contracts. They can cut their losses and only owe through the reminder of any one year.

It looks to me like this rebuild has officially failed. The pressure to show some results this year and then not being able to has crushed the psyche of the whole team. Having "guaranteed win" nights with a young team is not helpful. Where to go now? What a mess. Kind of sad, actually.
