Looks like very nice weather for all three days. Hoping we can find another gem like DS83.  A DE or DT, would be a big plus.

Not sure if this is the right spot, but I was looking at the 22 draft, we picked Joe Kapelanski (DT).  I did not see him listed on the recent write up.  Anyone know if he's still in our plans, or if he has moved on from football?

Presume Kapelanski (Jeremy) was cut.  He is not listed on the 2022 or 2023 active roster, practice roster or injured roster.

Lots of new competition added at DE, LB and QB in particular. A few new receivers.

If anyone goes to the rookie camp and has access to anything resembling a depth chart, please post it. Obviously it will be difficult to keep track of any newbies that immediately standout, but any feedback would be appreciated.

Rookies on the DL will be of primary interest, possibly at LB. The biggest battles should be on defence IMO. Offence looks solid, so the expectation aside from # 3 QB is PR depth.

We've got 112 players on roster at the moment.

Jeremy? He was injured in camp and was an early cut. Looks like his playing days are over as he's listed as a coach with Guelph.

The new QB signings should not be too significant.
I bet they are looking for  a short yardage specialist.

Tomorrow we'll know which players decided to NOT come and or failed their medicals. Seems to always be 3 or 4 that fall into that category.

Teams will reduce their roster to 85 players at the end of rookie camp. Non-counters are about 11 or 12 and excluded from that limit.  Something like 12 players will be released by Sunday.

Certainly hope that hand outs, from the Bomber Store, listing players, positions, etc., are made available as in past seasons
Does a ModAdmin know if that will occur

No reason to think they wouldn't. Done it every time I've ever been there.
My wife is amazing!

I have not been able to determine for certainty that line ups will be available but they have been in the past.

If members here are attending rookie camp please post your views and opinions of camp sessions here.  Thanks.

....FIVE TO WATCH

Topping our 'To Watch' list a year ago was receiver Dalton Schoen, who then went on to lead the Canadian Football League in receiving and being named the league's Most Outstanding Rookie. That's a high bar, but here are a handful of fresh faces to begin tracking now:

#90 DE Jadrian Taylor
: The Blue Bombers could use some import depth behind Willie Jefferson and Jackson Jeffcoat and Taylor, who spent two years at UTEP, is one of the candidates to track during camp.

LB Barrington Wade: Has had NFL looks from Baltimore and Denver, has impressive testing numbers, and caught the eye of Bombers scout Cyril Penn last year at Broncos training camp.

WR Michael Young: Played his college ball at both Notre Dame and Cincinnati before NFL opportunities last year from Indianapolis and Houston. The Blue Bombers receiving corps is stacked, but that doesn't stop management from looking.

#49 LB Gee Stanley: An intriguing prospect in that he can play linebacker and could also get a look at the Dime spot. That versatility can be key in the CFL.

DE Aaron Sterling: Similar situation to Taylor, listed above. Check out Cyril Penn's piece on him from late March here: https://www.bluebombers.com/2023/03/28/tales-from-the-scouting-trail-aaron-sterling/...
