Headed to practice tomorrow, will be interesting to see if Houston is on the field with the #1 D.

Getting Houston back would be a big plus and answer the question of who plays at CB. At the moment I have no idea of who will be the 1st choice or how the secondary will be changed from the last game.

We have players that can play well there but the what the plan looks like I'm not as certain. Where do Holm, Lawrence and Ford fit into the plan exactly if Houston remains out?

Getting Kolankowski back would be good too and he's replace Machino ( IMO ) as additional OL depth. In that sense we'd go from 2 global players down to 1.

Roster space for Demski would probably be made with Noah Hallett going to IR.

Demski in, Noah Hallett out or they go 6 OL which I think they wont do.

Assuming Houston will play we will go with Nick Hallett and Ford as the Cdn backup DB

Then I'm thinking they will replace one of Clements or Cole with a DB either Holm or Rutledge

Clements has been a starter at WIL on and off. He played quite a bit last week and might be starting at WIL again. Gauthier was nicked and not practising last week. Bighill played at WIL for part of last week. So Gauthier influences the choices for WIL and MLB.

In that sense I see Clements on the game day roster regardless of the injury situation. Cole has only been a DI and plays mostly on ST's.

Now if Kramdi can't play then Rutledge could very well be activated as the back up at SAM.

Regarding Holm. I've said it a couple of times, IMO it depends on the choice at CB. Parker has played well at DHB but it might be necessary to move him back to CB. A healthy Houston changes that option. OTOH Lawrence could end up starting at CB if Houston can't go. I like Holm and potentially he could be a DI. That would most likely be at the expense of McCrae.

I think we have the luxury of choices but part of it comes down to WHO is most healthy and where we most need to add back ups.

Looks like Evan Holm will be on the roster for Sunday. Provides depth at DB, and depth in the return game.

It happens a lot on the other Bomber board.

To your other point, I don't know where to find it, but Richie Hall was asked (by 3down) to compare Rourke to other CFL greats that he coached against and his response was basically, "settle down, he seems like a nice kid but he's played half a season, that's disrespectful to the guys you just named" (I'm paraphrasing).

Darby can also play in the secondary, which would allow Rutledge to play SLB.

Is there a practice injury report available?

No mention of Houston practicing yet, pretty well means he won't be playing this Sunday, so they'll do the best they can with the multiple options they have in the secondary.  As for the LB's I think their starters are set with Darby, Bighill and Clements.

Nathan Rourke & James Butler did take part in today?s walk through & both are expecting to start this week. The club is hopeful Joel Figueroa is able to practice Thurs. Lucky Whitehead may practice Friday but at this point is unlikely to play Sunday. @BCLions @TSN_Edge @CFLonTSN

Kolankowski, Holm, HOUSTON and Desmski all listed as " full " at practice today. That's a good indication they will dress. A few others listed as " limited " like Schoen, Gauthier and Miller but I'd expect all will be ready for this weekend. Not concerned about them.

Great news!!!  If Houston is back, they're down to one rookie in the secondary, Parker.  I'd be surprised if Kolankowski dresses, he's the better sub if an injury happens, but Dobson is more valuable for his contribution to the "Big Team".

I expect Taylor's playing days may be done now and Parker is the natural successor to that field HB spot. He's performed extremely well, will be even more seasoned with playoff reps, and I expect him to be an all-star next year.

I was at practice for about 45 minutes today. All our starting receivers were on the field taking part. Didn't see Kolski practice with the starting unit. Houston was in and out of the secondary. Darby dropped back into the secondary a few times, while Rutledge played SLB. BO20 looked pretty sharp today.
