If I were a Rider fan I would not be happy unless a full house cleaning occurs. This regime had there chances. JOD and CD need to go! 12,000 people in the stands in the year you are hosting the GC is unacceptable.  CF leaving needs to just be the beginning.

Yeah, I think that next season will even be worse for attendance.  They had season ticket base at over 27,000 this season.  It would not surprise me if that plummeted to around 19 thousand next year.  They are not happy campers over there.

I think if they blow the whole thing up and get at least 50% new coaches/mgmt they'll keep fans signing up for ST.  The worst they could do is announce a token change (say fire Maas).

I think Dickenson The Lesser has completely lost the room and all respect of everyone everywhere and needs to go.  And O'Day can't scout/hire to save his life, so he should get the boot too.

The only thing that could stop a top to bottom house cleaning is the cost of eating the contracts. If somehow Dickenson survives, he will need a to be a buyer in free agency, Oline and QB both.  Not sure where that money comes from. Unless a player is born there and fulfilling a lifelong dream, who would want to sign on to a sinking ship like that?

Lawler signed in Edmonton so overpaying works. Heck, our team was somewhat built using that approach. How do you think we convinced Stanley Bryant and Yoshi Hardrick to sign here originally?

Played for the Riders and the Lions prior to joining the Bombers.

Nah, he was plucked off the scrap heap.

But Bryant, Randle, Harris, Bighill? All lured with money.

Not sure about his compensation but the Bombers signed him as a free agent in 2016.

They got 894 yards for $300,000 and finished 5th in the west. Free agency is always a crap shoot, the hope of the hopeless.

QuoteThe CFL?s football-operations cap could very well limit the degree to which front-office alterations can be made. General manager Jeremy O?Day, head coach Craig Dickenson, offensive co-ordinator Jason Maas and defensive co-ordinator Jason Shivers are all under contract through the 2023 season.

Another year of Dickie in Regina? What not to like.  ;D

Yoshi came cheap in year one with the Bombers.  He came to Walters and O'Shea asking for an invite to camp.  They told him he had to drop weight and they'd give him an opportunity.  Bryant on the other hand we paid for and was well worth the price.  His signing started the change of fortunes for the Bombers, and now they're making history.

The Riders remind me of the 2012 Bombers and the Joe Mack circus.  They need to dump Reynolds first and roll with O'Day and Dickenson for one more year (just as Miller did).  Then the new guy has to find his Walters and O'Shea..... I wish them luck, but not much.

You the guy in Brandon calling into CKRM post-game??  ;D ;D :o :o

I think you need to blow up the whole thing, but like MOAB said, coaches cap might make it impossible.  But I don't see how you keep Dickerson The Lesser.  The players laugh at him and bully him.  You can't run a team like that.
