Thomas is slow out there. Sooooo slow, I know he's a NAT and sentimental favourite but time to move on.

Sayles, Walker and Lawson are not the best DT's either. As a group none of them are scaring an offence. Wilcots and Mack were / are busts as well. In theory we could have been limiting using Thomas but the alternatives in house are suspect.

Time to find some new DL for the PR. Maybe we find a gem.

It's going to a long wait until our next game to see if we get any injured players back

The tackles dont get any great push on the qb. Thomas maybe double teamed saylesi dont think can beat a good o line. But not stopping the run . if you re bad at pass rush stop the run. Probably a bad scheme altogether. No pressure on receivers and quarterbacks. Made an easy day for their qb. I dont think injuries were the problem. We had enough offense .just couldnt stop the other teams offense. And like to see them bring back Eli on the offensive line.

Gotta give Hammy full credit for the win. They were simply the better team yesterday.

Id give full credit if the bombers defense played half decent. Not a big game but showed cannot coast in a game and just rush 4 players all game .

That is how I see it. Hammy was full value for the win. They just outplayed the Bombers on all side of the ball. I do however question the talent that is in the Bomber secondary. That plus the lack of rush from the DT side needs to be addressed. A bye and a week off to figure out what to fix is needed. We have 4 games left - 3 at home and 1 on the road. I think we can win at least 2 of the 4 worse case scenario which should give us home field advantage for the Western Final.

We only have one DL on the PR, which is Wilcots. The team release Mack, when they signed Cooper and Hassell. Cooper is to small to play DE. The to go with only 2 DE for this game?? Right now we are really missing JK2.

I think Walters may have been expecting Kongbo to return, probably too late to expect that to happen now.  I think he could have been more pro-active in bringing in multiple replacements for Kyrie Wilson as well, developing another LB just in case they lose Wilson in F.A. to a higher bidder.

Often they only rushed 3 players. It was difficult to always see whether they were using a 34 defence or added another DB in coverage. I never saw a 6th DB like Hassell or Thompson on the field but they may have done that a few times.  The coverage results didn't indicate an extra DB.

Re-Watched part of the game again this morning ( painful ) before turning it off and deleting that game. What I did see is Gauthier all too often in chase mode and / or totally missing what appeared to be his assignment. Sure he led the team in tackles but he was being targeted along with Parker and Holm on that side of the field. Making a tackle 10+ yards down field is better than not making it but I think we need a faster player at WIL.

We didn't really have many candidates in TC which I found disappointing. At worst you need a good player as a DI in case of injury and just for rotation. Our DI's have been a bust on the DL and at LB.

As injuries have added up it's become more and more apparent.

What the heck? We added Cooper and Hassell to the active roster nearly immediately. I don't know if either will stick but we don't seem to be using them even in relief? In effect we're playing a few men short and many regulars are playing nicked.

This is still one of O'Shea's flaws, he wastes roster spots on players that never touch the field while suffering in other areas from lack of rotation.

In fairness to O'Shea he's not primarily the one scouting and signing players to the PR. It's not like I can name a better player on the PR to activate.

Walters and our scouts need to be looking for some additional talent on defence to be added.

Specifically what we need to do depends on what they know about players that might be returning from our current IR.

We'd have less concern if we knew Wilson, Houston, Taylor, Ellingson, Clements and Woli would be back next game. We don't know what the team knows in that regard. We may not see any of that group back this season.

The closer that is true, the more we need to do to replace that talent.

On the defensive side the liabilities on the DL and LB would still be an issue IMO.

Who saw enough of Jeffcoat's injury to fill us in somewhat?  Knee, ankle or what? Level of seriousness perceived?

after the bye week it would be nice to see Taylor Ellingson Woli back. I know Wilson and Houston were longer term stuff right?

Ellingson looked great when he played but if he misses the next 3 or 4 games, I'd have to consider him a bust.  Hopefully he redeems himself in the playoffs.
