Blank cheque

Yes. He'll get a very good raise. Since he's missing game 12, the SMS hit will only be for 1/3 of the season and affordable. A 2 year deal could give him another raise for 2023 which might influence him to not use the NFL option.

Pats kept 2 OL and a C on the PR... meaining Drew is a little ways down the chart... might get a look see elsewhere, but whenever he's ready, he's got a spot here.  Neufeld sounds like he's nicked...

Ed Hervey is a real jerkstore.

Absolutely! I know he was young but he did not help himself if not having agent representation initially. This wouldn?t of happened had he had an agent.

No, but Hervey was a real dbag. Totally took advantage.

Obviously we won't hear anything from the Bombers until a deal is reached. We won't know whether they are having discussions etc. Drew may choose to sit tight for a month to see if something happens in the NFL. It can't be an easy dream to give up on for 2022.

All that said, he could be back in the CFL by the weekend. I'm hoping that is the case but that's just wishful / selfish thinking.

Make my day Bombers management. Talk him into returning to Winnipeg.

Desjarlais added to Saints PR.

shucks for us...good for him

That will probably do it for him being back this season.

Ok, that's the end of waiting for Desjarlais for 2022. Good luck to his goal of playing in the NFL. We wish him success. Getting added to the PR happened quicker than I might have thought.

We need to start bringing in some NFL cuts to take a look at. Need some depth insurance at DB and LB with the injuries but most will be for TC 2023.

Some of injured players appear to be returning soon, but we're still seeing new injuries nearly every week. Could look at more DL or receivers as well I suppose

All depends on who is on our radar and available at the moment. No big fish to chase per se.

Hervey is a Dbag no question but if Zylstra had an agent the agent would have known how to play the game in the cfl. Are you anti agent or anti professional help or something?

It sounds like Zylstra was trying to squeeze Hervey for a raise in pay, fair play, Hervey simply out manoeuvred him.  At the time Zylstra was a nobody and could have ended up as a TC bust or more, nobody would care and it would make no difference. He went into business negotiations as a blind bumpkin with a good heart and got ripped, so did the Beatles.
