So sure, Mace at 9-8-1. Cool. Good story and maybe wins an award. But we're talking about legacies and coaching pedigrees in different stratospheres in the big picture. Should very much be acknowledged.

Mace rubs me the wrong way.  At least Dickenson The Lesser was affable.  Mace always has that stank face on.  He's always trying to look cool and disinterested.  He has a strange affect in pressers like he's got some actual mental problem.  He just always seems "off" to me.

Maybe he's like a savant genius, though.  I'm not really sure how he got to where he is and is seeing decent success.  But clearly there has to be something there.  But from a PR standpoint he's a horrific HC.  We all joke how MOS doesn't like to answer many questions and will just deflect or trot out the old tropes.  MOS is miles away a better PR HC than Mace.  And at least MOS has shown he can turn on the charm & wit when he needs to at an awards dinner, etc.  If Mace wins I predict a mumbling disaster when he accepts.

Oh, I couldn't stand Dickenson The Lesser either!  But you could at least feel for the guy, like Riderfans would always say: "awww shucks the guys tried hard, let's go bowling".

Mace spitting in disgust on national TSN when our team won the MTL game... ya, that type of stuff starts putting him in the BLM-level dislike tier IMHO.  I so much prefer the even-keel pragmatic MOS demeanor to the DC Super Villian motif Mace is exuding.
