8 Years with the Riders; 3 years with the Bombers - however Dressler's comments are interesting...

Dressler doesn't sound that indecisive when you listen to him speak.

I'd be very surprised if he didn't go in as a Rider.

There is no doubt he should go in as a Rider, but his departure from them and his embrace by and success with the Bombers makes it a much closer decision.

I can see him go either way, the tipping point might be the in the chips...

I agree the odds are that it will be the Riders, but he obviously had a great time with the Bombers.

Haven't watched the vid yet, will do later tonight.

But I agree he'll be a Rider because that was where he was all his best years.  He was great here, but he was astounding in green.  They let him do the amazing returns, too.

And he avoided the NFL-return curse: stayed effective for several years.

How can you not like Dress?  He also carefully walked the line between SSK and WPG fans... that can't be easy.  Never upset either base.

A lot of Rider fans are very upset about this! That makes me very happy lol
If I were him, I wouldn't feel great about getting cut from a team where he was the number 1 option for a long time!

Feels really nice to be a bomber fan right now! If Dressler retires as a Bomber, we can hold that over their heads and if he picks the Riders, it's really no harm done.

For sure he'll go down a Rider, but the fact that it's even debatable is an amazing troll job. Well done, Weston! We love you.

It's surprising that's it's a close decision. That must sting for Rider fans.

I don't recall players ever choosing a team prior to entering the Canadian Football Hall of Fame. Players are celebrated for their accomplishments in their football career.

Kind of a click-baity question/topic from 3down. Just trying to start a controversy.

They must get to pick because although sometimes people don't love 3Down, they don't make quotes up out of whole cloth.

"It's not as easy of a choice as it probably should be or seem like but, we'll see where it goes." - Dressler

That is 3down asking a question and Dressler not knowing how the Canadian Hall of Fame operates.

3 down didn't actually ask the question, they were only reporting on what Weston said in a podcast interview.

Quote"I spent the bulk of my career in Saskatchewan and that was my prime years, numbers-wise. But I think part of what I'm most proud of my career is definitely those final three years that I had in Winnipeg," Dressler said on The Waggle Podcast.

Not sure how much "team allegiance" memorabilia factors in, or if they have a uniform on, or helmet in the display, or a picture of them from their playing days, but I am sure players get to choose what team they are allied with.  Like Harris signing a one day deal to "retire as a Bomber".

Legally, Dressler "retired as a Bomber", so there is that.

The waggle trying to drum up controversy and 3down running with it then.
