I'd just like to see a Perkin sneak, followed by a tempo Perkins deep ball...

Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

i dont know why when its 2nd and inches we dont take a free shot down field. Maybe its cause OShea doesnt trust the oline not to breakdown immediately and give up a sack

Pigskin

Perkins has only thrown one pass all season, so it probably would be a surprise for any D.
Don't go through life looking in the rearview mirror.

ZC had a limited practice today.  Hmm

But didn't they do that last week too?
Never go full Johnston!

Zac not dressed for final practice, I know Qbs are at a premium but how can we go into next year with the chances of our main qb being available is less than 50%?
Its not a question if Zac will be injured but when. Just about any direct hit results in missed games. Even with an improved oline there are going to be pressures and sacks. For his sake as well as the team we need to move on. Sign Brown and look for  other options as well.

I thought having a limited practice yesteray might be a suggestion he would play. Now with no practice it appears he won't be playing and probably not even as a back up. It's possible but it doesn't look that way at the moment.

Fair or not I took the playing of not playing as somewhat of a final chance to return in 2027. I think I commented that if he played and played well ( even winning the Grey Cup ) it could buy him another year.

Now I think he may be finished in Winnipeg. At best it would take a massive put cut and relegation to a # 2 spot on the team to return IMO.

It's unfortunate but his long term health and the value to the team has changed.
No more excuses

Well, it's a Dru Brown game for now. And yeah, in the off season it'll be very interesting to see what their plan at QB is.
My wife is amazing!

Starting to smell like Matt Nichols.  Zach came in and made him expendable.  Now Zach's the one who might watch us win a cup from the sidelines and then be the uncomfortable odd man out in the parade...

It's a mean, rough business.

Then we better hope the D & ST steps up (again), because Dru is a middle-of-the-road QB at best.  And I don't think he'll ever get any better.

Same as if Zach was starting.

Not a fair statement.  Zach is a multiple GC-winning QB who has been as good as Alexander, Rourke and Kelly in the past.  Better, actually, because Zach has the rings (as starter!).

Maybe now Zach is the same odds as Dru.  But I wouldn't even say that, because if Zach can stay upright there's always the chance he finds his old form for a few series.  Dru won't find his old form: he's just Dru.

If Dru wins the game (or cup!) it'll be because he Arbuckled his way through it.  And that's ok, and we'll take it, but we have to understand what it actually means.

What'd you rather..a little bit of banged up Zach..who they may have been resting today and doesn't really NEED practice... or a Brown that throws all of the INTs into double coverage?

Both can throw beauties to Demski. So that cancels each other out.

Throw Long Bannatyne

The economics no longer work so it doesn't make sense to re-sign Zach to another contract, I think he realizes this as well.  After that last victory at home against CGY he hung around after the game which he rarely does, hugging his own players and he actually grabbed the game ball.

He hangs around with his family alot, and it was a good feeling after the game.  They grab the game ball to give out after the game to the best player. I realize this is what you want, but don't make stuff up in your head lol.
